hello alltogether...

I'm kind of in the mood for twisted or disturbing movies, "mind-fuckers" how some people like to call them. And since my movie knowledge isn't the greatest, It'd be great to get some ideas here.

So far I've seen these movies that I can describe as rather disturbing:

donnie darko
Fight Club
Pi
David Lynch stuff (Eraserhead, mulholland drive etc)
Arlington Road (twisted ending and disturbingly paranoid)
Requiem for a Dream (Drugs are evil)

and probably more I can't recall atm.

So anyone know some mind fucker movies? I'd appreciate them not to be disturbing in the sense of excessive and realistic violence and gore etc, so don't post stuff like ichi the killer, Salò or cannibal holocaust. More the kind of movies that work in psychologically disturbing kind of way, a more subtle kind of twistyness.

Haute tension aka Switchblade romance. Great french horror/thriller. If you can find it, don't miss it.

I would have to agree on only 2 of those. Arlington Road and Requim. David's movies are mind fucking movies, they are just fucked up movies.

a good one is Se7eN.

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

@ saddam

watch irreversible! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290673/

the story goes backwards, from end to beginning.

also two very disturbing scenes in the movie:
1. a beating with a fire extinguisher. 20 times to a guys head.
2. a rapescene thats 15 minutes.

i know you didnt want gore and such, but the movie is not only about that, it also has a plot. its not a "guinepig" movie if i put it in that way, yet equal disturbing.

Irreversible is worth watching. Not only for the beating in the beginning, it's a good movie and Monica Bellucci is such a babe.

btw. another miike movie, the ichi makeer, is also a real braintwister. It has some bloody parts in it but for the most part its just a damn strange movie (the first half is unexitingly boring, but is needed for the understanding of the secnod half of it and its somewhat funny/irritating in its portrayal of japanese normality):
Audition

Oldboy is another asian movie that might please you...

Irreversible:
The first 30 minutes of the film has a background noise with a frequency of 28Hz (low frequency, almost inaudible), similar to the noise produced by an earthquake. In humans, it causes nausea, sickness and vertigo. It was the main cause of people walking out of the theaters during the first part of the film in places like Cannes and San Sebastian. In fact, it was added with the purpose of getting this reaction.

lmao got to see this one now Razz

If you found that to be a disturbing movie. Try and watch Kolobos, which is almost similar, but I found it better than My Little Eye.

A sequel which is really a prequel yes Smile

Ichi the Killer is more disturbing in terms of graphical violence than Ichi1 is though.
