Is there any way that I can get my 360 to play .avi-files when streaming from Media Center?
Just got Media Center working, and I'm loving it, but it takes away it's purpose when you have to convert everything you want to watch. Any help appreciated Very Happy Cheers

Yes you need a program called transcode 360. Go here http://www.runtime360.com/projects/ and it has a step by step guide on who it works. But one thing to remember instead of just hitting enter on the file you want to play you have to hit I believe the X button on the controller and info on the remote. Then go to more and hit enter on transcode. If you have any questions just let me know.

VLC360 is great and easier on the resources than transcode...Transcode stutters on my media center pc (512mb ram) VLC works flawlessly.. Wink

Go for quality, go TMPGenc 4.0 (this is not a commercial Razz).
