I feel owned, raped, fucked, cheated on, ripped off etc. etc. etc.
No one to fuck the game up better than making the most interesting and appealing locations UNAVAILABLE for free-roam, without quests and the crap. A fucking Call of Duty...
And giving you weapons like the Gauss rifle, OICW and the combat shotgun 5 minutes (exactly, no more, no less) before the end - this is pathetic.
Damn you GSC, burn in hell! I was ready to forgive you ANY bugs with this game, any outdated GFX, but this cheap rush - I'll never forgive it.

You are missing the fucking point. 4 shots from a shotgun is supposed to take down any man from like a 2 inch distance get it? its not about aiming cuz u cant miss from that distance its the GAME not us. And as to guns being realistic? FUCK NO! |
Sounds like someone else is missing the point...the point that its a game. How fun would it be if the game were uber-realistic and one pistol shot would take you out? How about once you are shot one time you bleed to death unless you see a doc and get surgery and recover? Sheesh, enough discussion about realism in the game, it's clearly not a simulation nor does it try to be one.
Oh and btw about missing from a few inches with a sawed off? I am sure you would get an instant head-shot in real life if a soldier came running full-steam at you....Not.

R6V prooved that
played it on realistic mode 3 times and it still was fun
runing around gun blazing is OLD, cover system FTW 
IF stalker was at least realistic in that part it would be decent game and wtf with weapons lol
i'm glad i didn't wasted my time on this pos

Quicksave seems to work but you cant load them!
Having to press ESC then making a save manually is so stupid for FPS games, is it just me doing it wrong or is this missing?

The graphics on this are sweet. Full dynamic, grass shadows, running around 40-50 fps, dropping to 25 in the bar at Duty's camp. Dynamic lighting is worth it if your comp can handle it. Just because some comps can't isn't reason to moan about it. In a couple years your new computer will be able to and the lighting will be nice. Better than not having it at all so people can feel happy about running the game now on "full detail."
Game is a disappointment though. Discrete areas, loading, linear. You move in a line towards the reactor. I am really disappointed not to see the free roam world, all around the reactor. I thought the reactor would be the center of things, not the end of the line. I thought things would get weird as you got closer to it, but only being able to approach from one direction just isn't what I had pictured.
The idea I fell in love with was free roam in a well represented deserted area in the Ukraine. The deserted buildings fit the bill, but it's all in a penned in area and just lacks the feel I had hoped for. It's still fun, but after what it sounded like it would be it can't help being a huge disappointment.

It's you doing it wrong. Or a bug. Or some other program bound to the quickload button. Works fine here.

Well everything about the chernobyl level was unfinished, full of bugs and no english translations "everything is russian even the voice in your head " regarding the weapons Vodka is absolutely right, you don't get those weapons until you enter the reactor, at which point the game is over  theres 2 endings not 8
To sum it up I'm happy I didn't buy this game, maybe I'll play it in multiplayer later but it's not a returning experience for me like the old fallout games for instance.

for those who didn't unlocked it already, you see 2 grayed out maps. These maps will be unlocked with the bonus content thingy...
I expected more tbh...

Well THIS kinda sucks.
How the game does widescreen. No wonder I have had the feeling of being cramped and always wanting to zoom out a bit. FOV is actually worse playing with a ws monitor.
Man they need to do some serious work on this game. I really love what is good about the game. But with all the things wrong? It just about damn near ruins it. I am trying to keep hope that everything will be fixed in future monthes, but if it gets abandoned for some other project? Might be the last game I preorder, ever. Unless maybe console games. Which is sad but getting screwed over sucks and it keeps happening with every PC title to come out lately.

this game feels soooo bad when i play it.. blegh i hate the gameplay i hate the combat's i hate teh fooking fake hitboxes.. at the moment im writing this.. stalker is being uninstalled. They spend 6 years drinking vodka!!!!.
