well I wasnt respeonding to you, I just meant in general.as far as YOUR problem goes it might be your gfx card. Titan quest when first release had a really bad code in it that was heating peopls cards up bad and was acually destroying them. These two games might be the case too, don't quote me on that though. So try a different gfx card mabye?
if no one can answer the question then jsut wait till store release date of stalker then contact the dev's about it. |

my card,as i mentioned,is an nVidia EN7900GT 256MB..
When i played the original Titan Quest for the first times,it randomly crashed with a "drwatson32" somewhat error,thou the game always saved when that happend...then when 1.08 version for that came,NO-MORE-ERRORS happend..thou now with the expansion...kills it...and no watson,just CRASH!

Got the HATRED release and was able to successfully install the game and even enter it. But like some others the game froze at Client: synchronizing. How do I fix this? (Setup above)
EDIT: Turing of NOD32 solved the problem!

Seems nod32 is an anti video game program lol. I have my firewall set to block the .exe from connecting to the net to synchronize which helps it load a tid bit faster. |

so i have a problme with stalekr , i have semrpona 1,9 ghz , 512 ddr 333 and geforce 7300 gt , whe n i'm playin with medium details or minimum i have this strange thing , when i;m runnin whole game stops for a milisecond and then go ok , stop , and go , and all the time
why ? i shouls buy another 512 ddr or 1 gb ? or maybe i can fix it ?

Your PC isn't top notch anyway, but more memory would help out surely. The hick-ups you get are because the game is using virtual memory,when your physical RAM isn't enough.

I got the Unleased rls. I burnt it with alcohol120 but I get ''Original Disk could not be found or authenticated'' error. So the only way to play is by mounting the image?
EDIT: OK , just used the crack from the other release. but wtf, why do they say in the nfo, ''just play''

you can't JUST mount the game with unleashed. you will need to run yasu along with it. THEN you can just click play |

Actually, the Unleashed release was an emudvd. You don't burn those and expect them to work. Smart of you to read the nfo instructions, but it didn't mention burning the image, it says "mount and install".

What is wrong with that game??? My laptop runs it exeptionally well in DX8-mode with details maxed out but after some 30min or so (time it takes to complete the first mission - freeing the pal in the camp) it gets slooow and starts to stutter. Even lowering the detal level does not help. And that is the same location the game starts and runs butter smooth before. What am I doing wrong???
Generally Stalker runs well tough in my Vista Ultimate environment. No Crashes, no issues so far. It only gets very slow and stuttery after some minutes. Any ideas?
By the way. If you'd have the choice ot play DX8 maxed out or DX9 with low details, what would you choose?

QUickload not working..
Any idea why? when i make a quicksave i can´t quickload or load that quick save.
i have to manually go to save screen, save the game, and then that will load...
Is a pain to enter the save menu each time i want to save..

i have abit nf7.20 , audio card is integrated realtek ac 97 , drivers are nforce 5.11 , and the newest gfx drivers

tried it in XP and it runs perfect @ maximum, but when I tried to run it under vista, it runs almost at a stand still, even when I turn off most of the gfx options, is there any way to run this under vista, or at this time is just impossible?

Thanks!.. now i have 1 question, i restart a new game but when i qucik save i get the same name (first last)
Where do i change my name on the game? do i have to resintall the game?
I tried changing the User account name, but same thing... when i quciksave it quick save to my first and last name.
Any ideas?

Has anyone tried to put AA on? I habe tried through game and control panel. The jaggie are still there in game.
The rain artifact problem happened to me also but only once. Its been fine since. This game eats up my system maxed (opty @ 3.2Ghz, 8800GTS 320MB, 2GB,etc)

I am having fun with it. I love when the lightning comes at night. looks superb. I am one of the few who like the plastic look of games like Far Cry and PDZ on the 360 so I turned the gloss level up to 7 and I like it even more. lol.
BUT... I still crash in the inventory or just randomly with the NV4 error and have to reboot happens at least once an hour.

i still have the freezes... i defragd my drive i got the new drivers im just really mad cos' of the freezes.
guys i have x1800GTO, 3.3 intel pentium 4 dual core, 1 GB of ram, is this a machine i can run this game on or what?
