i also have ATI card & thats could be what it is but i aint sure becuase the error doesnt show any relation to the graphic card. any how these are the steps i followed & crashes did stop as a result:

1.click the Start button at the bottom left of your screen
2.click the Control Panel menu item
3.then double-click the System icon.
4.Click the Advanced tab
5.Find the item marked Performance right under there is a button that says Settings.
6.Click the Data Execution Prevention tab.
7.You'll see two options in that window click the second option that says "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select."
8. when you are finished with that then click the 'add...' button it should be visable at the bottom of the box. then you have to find where the file 'vt3.exe' resides on your computer most of the time it's something like this c:\program files\sega\vt3.exe anyway add vt3.exe to that list. It'll give you a warning just ignore it and click ok. Then you reboot and it should work just fine.

i hope this will work for you guys & please post here & let us know if it did or didnt work.

best of luck Wink

Oops game just crashed again !!! i dont know whats going on but i have had similer crashes with trackmania sunrise using my previous x1900xt card but that did show the error was related to ATI.dll & was fixed with the next release of ATI drivers !! i dont know why virtua tennis is crashing ! anyway i will buy a 7800gt of ebay (closest match to my current x1800xl card) & will see how it goes(i have had Nvidia in the past no problems but picture quality isnt as good as ATI) ,if all ok then i might buy the 640mb 8800 gts when prices go down. sorry tried to hlp.

ok i have just bought 7900gt 256mb graphic card from ebay & when that arrives i will test virtua tennis to see if the crashing problem still exists.

i will sure miss the image quality from my ATI card + the seperate game & desktop settings which was a very useful feature. going with Nvidia feels like i'm takin a step back.

You're living in the past I think. There is no image quality loss, nor is the software worse on Nvidia (it's several hundred times better) - you also have separate settings for game/desktop with NVidia software. ATI is cheaper, but you won't miss it.

TBH - i am running nvidia but i have nothing against ATI - I do agree that there is a difference in graphics between the two. I think they honestly do look at least slightly different. In some ways i like both a lot. Each company has their qualities and their downsides.

- my 2 cents.....

Does anyone know how to get it to work with one player playing on the keyboard and one on a gamepad? is it even possible?

The game crashes with the clone version also -> that is without the crack. So the problem is not the crack, its ati or the game.
