Usually it will stop with vertical synch to the hertz of your monitor (60, 70). Disabling vertical synch will let the gameplay run faster in some games but the gfx won't follow anyway.

And who care this isn't an FPS (as said in the nfo) it's a RTS and 15fps would be as much as you need.

While this might have been true in the days of 2d RTS, today that is more bullshit.

You definately can notice it up to 60, although 30-60 isn't that much big of a difference for me, normally I'll play it if it's higher than 30.

Movies require 24 fps because they're lower quality and are blurry when camera moves fast. That doesn't happen with games. Blurring makes it look fluid (for scenes where camera is moving quickly, but if camera is moving slowly, there is no point is high fps at all (i.e. If camera is recording a photograph, it could be recording at 1 fps and you wouldn't know the difference, because the photograph doesn't change) ) More perfect image is, more FPS is needed to make it look fluid.

You can easily tell the difference between 30 and 60 FPS. I would consider 30FPS to be the MINIMUM that I would be willing to play a game at. Having that minimum as the forced framerate is a bit of a let down. But saying that, I didn't have any issues when playing the demo which was also locked at 30FPS so maybe it's all in the mind.

Looking forward to getting off work and playing this! Saw it on NForce connected to my pc at home and started downloading! Smile I know there is one thing that is going to drive me nuts and that is the Zoom Out Limit. Does anyone know if this can be changed? SupCom spoiled me big time! Same as G/ZH and MEII, sweet, I love that! No need to worry about a learning curve! Well, I guess learning what each unit does is a learning curve but that is so fun!

TIA!

You can convince yourself on that as much as you want, but I like my high framerates, and suffered tremendeously when they were getting low on my old 6600GT..

human eye doeasnt have difference for FPS above 24

How many frames per second can the human eye see?

This question is NOT the same as:

How many frames per second do I have to have to make motions look fluid?

And it's not the same as:

How many frames per second makes the movie stop flickering?

And it's not the same as:

What is the shortest frame a human eye would notice?

try google before you say something so ... well ... uninformed Wink

Are you being sarcastic? Hell yeah, if you want to counter the AI or another human player. You better damn well know what each unit does. You have to setup defense and start churning out offense. Or if you are a mad rusher you have to create offense and "Hope they don't have blasters"! Smile when you arrive at their base!

I remember reading that somewhere, I guess it applied to 2D only. But again 3D on our monitor is just illusions. The images are actually 2D, results of series of transformation of some 3D meshes. So.. err..yeah... whatever, 15fps is slow Razz

Well, i've only played 2 missions for NOD, and as many allready know this game stays truely close to its C&C roots.

Cheesy video briefings, but now they are in HD quality and some of them looks quite impressive.

After each mission you choose what state/country you want to attack next, like the old C&C map, but this time around it just looks 100x nicer.

The graphics engine is also quite good. It runs great with lots of stuff happening with no slowdown. Its cyrstlacrisp, i love it.

The only thing i dislike is the few amount of units, however the addition of the 3rd faction helps.

Also, since this is an EA game, we will surely see many add-ons soon.

Anyway i give this game 8.5/10 - nice job EA
