Game is crap anyway way bother , they only slapped doom3 like engine with ideas from homeworld .
All in all it would be a great game BUT the story intermissions when you talk with other characters take some time to load , this could be easily integrated into the game and not make a intermission to the hole game .
Another thing is the hole game lacks good story presentation , the camera controls are horrible and the battle features could be more made automatic then press space and click the little icon then click the enemy Then crap to late your ship is allready gone Rolling Eyes
O and this game gets a BIG FUCKING MINUS for the default screen resolution that is 1200x1024@60 , WTF they where thinking that we all have Lcd`s or what , those bastards force you to find the .cfg file and edit it to your resolution This is such a noob error , no configuration screen before the real game

I got good resolution...and I liked the demo, and had no problems with it...

I wonder why no proper space strategy games are made... Sad The last good one was Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, but it suffered the effects of a low budget.

Galactic Civilization II is pretty good but i'm not sure if that's the type of game you meant by space strategy games.

Yeah, I ment either tactical (like Nexus) or base building (like Homeworld), but something that is real time, not turn-based. And with a modern graphics engine, ffs... Space deserves to look beautiful

well um. back on topic!

I can't get it to work and other people appear to have the same problem. Did anyone actually get the procyon release to run?

It doesn't work mounted (asks for original disk, doesnt complain about emulation software, so YASU is a no-go) and there is no crack.
Am I missing something?

the files are cue/bin, so not a clone I guess?

Scanning -> G:\Genesis Rising\bin\GenesisRising.exe
File Type : Exe, Size : 4097536 (03E8600h) Bytes

[!] SecuROM Detected - Version 7.xx
- Scan Took : 0.422 Seconds

I think this is not going to work without a crack or clone Wink

Instead of making stupid kiddie nfos these Procyon guys should check the protection that's used in a game and make a clone when it's required...

They are just making a mockery of end users like us. I'm surprised that Nforce even puts such releases on their page. I'd ignore it, nuking it would be too much trouble.

I bet Procyon is a bunch of 16 year old kids who all work at different game stores and can get their hands on games while they are still in the warehouse waiting to be released. The word "fucking" is as foreign to them as the word "working crack". It just surpasses their capabilities.
