Locke ftw : p

locke should fucking die... the guy is a shell of the wise and cool char that he was in season 1, now he acts like a damn monkey in a lab - running around the islands acting like a compete fanatic moron, pushing every button he sees only to find out that it is yet again a self-destruct trigger. Evil or Very Mad

oh and i think that his "father" is actually the smoke monster yet again. i believe that ben changed his mind about locke being one of the good guys after the recent events and now he's using smoky to recheck locke's mind and eleminate him if neccesery.

I assume this is the reason.

A Nikki/Paulo-centric episode.

Who the hell are they?! lol.

agree.. Alltough i think Lost is overdoing the amount of filling episodes.. Get on with the shit damnit, they weren't important in the start and they certainly aren't important now either.

Yea it was a pretty good but pointless episode. Although I liked how they connected it with Season 1 and 2 and it was nice to see Arzt back.

You know the guy who plays Paulo, also plays Xerxes in 300. Amazing what makeup and CGI can do.

Great episode! Totally no progression whatsoever in the story but I really enjoyed this one. Clever stuff how they focused on two pretty insignificant characters but showed them in the events from previous seasons. I was impressed. Did they add them to the scenes with some clever editing or were they actually in the original episodes?

Editing. I noticed the scenes of the crash and I could tell the difference between the ones in the pilot and the new episode. Biggest giveaway is the way Shannon looks.

Oh right! Well its pretty impressive editing and unless you go back and watch the original events I guess you would never know. I seem to remember the episode where Nicci and Paulo went to the second hatch and I vaguely remember him using the bathroom which you think nothing of but it was clever how they used that part again but from his perspective. Stuff like that I think is really cool lol.

i have rewatched the pilot episodes and i have not seen a glimp of those 2 characters. lost makes me nervous when they only add new stuff without explaining previous mysteries

As soon as he went down the hatch and entered the bathroom I was like "So that's why he randomly went to the bathroom before!" Like those little things.

Even though this episode was nice, I honestly think they should have done one more episode at the Others place with Locke and his "dad" - then aired the Nikki/Paulo episode afterwards.

They... Need... Filler... Episodes...

If they air all the interesting eps. now, who in his right mind would watch the crappy fillers?

I don't know... I don't think so. If you remove all the filler stuff you would be left with one season and a bunch of cardboard characters running around the island.

Eh... The question is where do you draw the line. Fillers like this one, please let them coming, but most of the eps. are so boring now it's sad. They should've made the show in 12 eps. format like they intended from the let go, not 22.

Why, is it because you don't like drama? Razz

Because imo most of the "filler" episodes (which should really be called character centric episodes) add to the character's background and reflect on the choices they make.

--EDIT: And it also fits in with the conversations they have with each other, and with the Others.

How would little sense would it mean if Charlie went on a drug trip on the island without us knowing his past? Or if Locke was talking to Ben about his past without us experiencing it first-hand? Just a couple of arbitrary examples.

--EDIT END

They never intended to make the show in 12 episodes (ala HBO-style) as far as I know, and they never said so. But maybe I'm wrong...
