I have 512 DDR at 400 MHz, PC3200, GoodRAM and I want to buy some more. The question is: should I buy 2 x 512 GoodRam, or 1 stick 1GB, but from, I don't know, Samsung or so (different manufacturer)? Should I mix or go with the same brand but more sticks, I mean does it make any difference having one or two sticks of RAM?

Well, in the past (and the last system I built was 3 years ago) I have ran into issues when mixind different brands of ram together.
If it were me, I would buy the 1 gig stick because that way, you have better room to add more sticks of ram later.
