					| |
					| Hi,
I'm in the process of composing my new laptop, and am having some difficulties with choosing the graphics card. The ones I'm choosing between is geforce go 7600 with 512 MB dedicated memory or geforce go 7900 with 256 MB dedicated memory. So my question basically is which is best: To go with the better gfx card, but with less dedicated memory (geforce go 7900 with 256 MB), or, the slightly lesser card, but with more dedicated memory (geforce go 7600 with 512 MB)?

 All help is appreciated.

 Thanks

					| The 7900, no question. They always come out with more memory for older/slower cards, but it never helps any because the card was designed with less memory, the memory interface is too slow to take advantage of it.

A buddy of mine just bought a lap top with a DX 10 card in it if I am not mistaken... I'll ask him tomorrow to clarify. I know he was playing Oblivion on it at max detail with no slowdowns...

EDIT: Not that playing Oblivion at max means he has a DX 10 card. Was just implying its a powerful laptop.

					| Have been looking for laptops with DX10 cards but cant seem to find any. Even e-mailed both HP and Dell and asked them when theyll be releasing a laptop with Geforce Go 8800 or equivalent, but neither of them had any idea..
Does anyone know of a laptop with a DX10 gfx card?

 Thanks

Sorry, no DX10 cards out there yet... And the new AMD Mobility Radeons that are following the R600 naming scheme (should I say scam) are just DX9 cards with a better name. AMD (ATi) scamming the paying customers one more time, whoopdi doo...
