I don't have the game yet. but i've been told there is no way to remove the GUI so as to play the battles completely full screen. Correct me if i'm wrong

well THAT may be true, geez.. not many games have that feature, but im SURE rome total war HAS IT in some sort of cheat or any other way, probably via concole manipulation, since they have been messing with Decisive Battles and stuff.

not that i know of. and as to other games not having it, every rts since of late has it, codename panzers, ground control 2, shogun/medieval tw/warhammer 40k

it totally loses the immersion. space? it takes up almost 1/3rd of the screen and looks so ugly.
