Got my extended edition box of the series two weeks ago, and thought it would be nice to sit down and watch it again in pieces. Wink

Dunno if it's being screened out of Israel.

9/10. -1 point for making me sad Sad Apparently an Acting class teacher in my school played in this movie as the one who blew the place up.

I loved the irony from this comment: "In 1982, Israel was forced to invade southern Lebanon in self defense"

Hahahaha... that is such a joke Smile

So it's a comedy, right?

The Hitcher (2007) 7/10 - Cant beat the original (obviously), but decent remake anyway. Nice car crashes Smile

The Fountain 9/10 - Visually beautifull, complicated "art" -movie. Didnt understand much, but liked a lot (makes any sense?!). Soundtrack was top notch too.

I watched Little Children this weekend, 9 out of 10. A great, disturbing, and well written screen play of a movie. This should have been up for an academy award. If you haven't seen it, get it and watch it. You will not be disappointed.

I finished reading Dark Lord The Rise of Darth Vader this weekend. This is the next book after Episode III. I then watched the original Star Wars Trilogy on DVD afterward. A great experience! If you want to know what happened to the Jedi after Order 66, Dark Lord is the book to read.

An Inconvenient Truth

Since it's a documentary and not an accuall moive, I won't grade it. But would certainly recommend it to everyone! I've heard that it is good, great, ect, but I didn't believe it untill I watched it for myself. Al Gore for president! Smile

Saving Private Ryan 4.5/10 D+: Very overated, the Cinematography was very well done but
it was long and boring over 2 hours and the acting was very poor.

Where Eagles Dare 6.5/10 C+ Grade: Still a good film despite its age.

4.5 is pretty much spot on. Saving Private Ryan is old news. When you watch Band of Brothers it puts SPR to shame easily.

Deelix, my man. Razz It doesn't mean newer things are automatically better. Quite the contrary in many cases. Saving Private Ryan just isn't as good as Band of Brothers. Wouldn't have mattered if they were made at the same time. It's about the script and the characters.

in all fairness the opening beach scene in ryan would be like an 8 out of 10 for me because that bit was great fun... the rest was utter sh*t and drags down the score a hell of a lot, so a 4.5 out of 10 is a very reasonable and realistic score for the film as a whole. its just not that good, theres way better war films out there that arent hyped beyond reason only because of the directors name.
