Game works fine mounted.

Doesn't need YASU at all,it has SF.Smile

You NEED to get the latest daemon tools,4.09.
It has the ability to bypass SF 4.7(which dawn of magic has)

But if I remember correctly, you need to unistall your older daemon tools version(and restart),THEN install 4.09.(did that, because I wasn't able to play SF 4.7 games just by updatingto to newer one)

Graphics could be MUCH better imo, and character customization sucks, you get to choose between 4 premade ones and I didn't like single one of them. Otherwise it seems average, not in the mood to play tho.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and intro animation is pretty sweet, I love the bloody demon child part Smile

Didn't you guys read any previews? Yes, you only have 4 characters at the beginning, and all are kind of dull. But later on your character transforms according to the magic types you train/use and what you act like in game. Huge tree branches might grow out of your back and maybe you will get 4 spider like legs. At least that is what the reviews said.

Don't have it yet, will still take a while, damn my slow connection Sad

I can't believe im going to say this but I liked silverfall better....even though I hated the game. The interface on this game is a bit clunky and wasn't well thought out. They tried to copy Diablo with the health and mana sections. The indoor GFX are decent but as soon as you get outside your blinded by the yet....overuse of fuckin bloom. The combat is pretty decent but coulda been spruced up a bit. It's a bit comical in the beginning cause your sent out to go kill scorpions with a broom...lol. But ya, it's just your average everyday sub par RPG that. I'm not saying it's bad, some will like it some won't but I won't be playing it as im extremely annoyed by overusing bloom.

@ Spykez

If bloom annoys you so much, change the graphics settings (assuming the game offers the corresponding options ofc)

I don't believe they had that option. Though I could have overlooked it.

-> it wont work if you mount it via lan or from a crypted harddisc...

Network images and images mounted by DAEMON Tools from compressed/encrypted volumes may not work with StarForce: you may get "Conflict with emulation software detected" message.[...]

Game looks to be cool on all the screenshots I've seen and I've read all of the "reviews" from users in this thread which makes me want to try it out more. Still, one question was unanswered that someone asked earlier, does this game support COOP?

I think I'll wait and see if we get a proper release on this game before getting it though.

Well I played yesterday.

I like it. Yeah the interface takes some getting used to. But I like it.

Things I like:
I actually like the graphics.

I like how the NPC's actually move around doing stuff. Was pretty cool when in the academy and all the students filed outside.
I like the little conversation the NPC's have with one another. Its a nice touch... but they are a little hard to read.
Voice acting seems ok and most NPC's (at least the ones I ahve talked to) have voice dialogue.
Looks like there's quite a bit of spells and crafting to do... alchemy, enchanting.

I like that I can kill ANYTHING apparently. And NPC's will yell at you for doing stuff they don't like. You also have a good/evil rating of some sort.

Things I don't like:
I wish I could control the character with the keyboard instead of mouse clicks (maybe I can and I just didn't see the option).

Interface is clunky.

Camera could be a little better.

Wish it had first person with keyboard movement control.

Lack of different characters. Like someone else said, the character customisation is almost non existant. 4 pre made ones and none very interesting. BUT... it does appear you have MANY choices a long the way to differintiate as far as skills and abilities go.

Final verdict:
Looks like a combo of Diablo meets Neverwinter Nights meets Fable... but with a clunky interface that takes some getting used to as far as navigation is concerned. There's a lot of things it does attempt to do right (like the npcs actuially doing stuff). While some people say silverfall was better than this, I disagree. I think this is one of the better Diablo clones I have played in a while. I would recommend anyone that likes hack and slash games to give it a try. You may like it... but its definitely one of those games that you will either like or you won't I think.

Can't even try this game, cause cannot install dameon 4.09. Tried on two computers, gives me internal setup error before it even gets to ask me what dir to install it to. Looked at daemon tools forums and nothing there fixes it.
