7900 GT same problem, bad move from activision.
why release a game(not sure this is final release code) if so few gfx cards can run the game.

Could it be that this game is really that demanding?!? |
Yes and no, what were basicly playing is the xbox 360 version on pc hardware... As ive said earlier it was not optimised well for pc ie it has irregular framerates, fraps says framerate lock of 30fps lol , on the 360, I doubt you'd say this would be too "demanding" , saying that though it does render a decent size city, hard to know, hopefully we'll see a patch when retail hits shelves fixing these issiues but as of now, put it down as low as possible settings wise till its playable
Nick
Edit: Just to point out, I'll list my pc config:
Intel Pentium D 805 2.66Ghz
2 Gig DDR2 RAM
500gig SATA hard drive (4 gig free)
XFx GeForce 7600GT XXX Overclocked edition 256mb DDR3
Windows Vista Home Premium with Nvidia Vista Drivers 158.18

This does look like final code tbh, includes full readme, autorun image thing and no sort of PRE or BETA watermarks anywhere, these ports happen, sometimes there fixed, other times not, we'll just have to wait & see

Thanks for posting your specs yoyoxp.
Let's hope they release a patch that improves performance, although that seems highly unlikely...

It's rare console ports get patched. Only reason RS6 Vegas did cause well...it's RS6, UBI woulda dug themselves a grave if they didnt.

either this game is shittily coded or i am having weird problems on my rig. if i turn on AA, or anything beyond low quality or over 1680x1050, it runs at 3-10fps, worse so in the beginning mission with the fire and all. (my other games run perfectly smooth with all settings on max)
Dell XPS 700
Core2Duo E6600 2.4Ghz
2x1GB DDR2 667mhz RAM
GeForce 7900GTX 512MB, nVidia Vista x64 158.18
Windows Vista Ultimate X64
OS HDD - 74GB Raptor SATA
Games HDD - 2x300GB SATA RAID0

The only fix I found for this is to alt tab back to desktop then click on the game in your taskbar.

Amazing what rebooting can fix isn't it?
On another note im sure if all you guys get together and rape the dev support when it's officially released they'll see the fuckups and release us a patch. I know I for one will be sending them an email. And 2 pages of you guys having problems so far? Not to mention everyone else not on this board with problems. They'll see a fan database and want to keep customers (even though you didnt buy it).
