I want to try it. I need some sort of thrill in my life right now and I've gone rock climbing, caving and bungee jumping.

You can do a tandem jump but if you want a bigger thrill jump "alone" (1-2 instructors will jump at the same time).

If you really like it and have enough money there are courses that you can take where you do more and more difficult jumps.

here if you want to do a solo jump, you only get to do it from 3000 feet and have to take a 5 hour class first. for a tandem jump you get to go to 9500 feet and only a 30 minute class...

but yeah, pretty expensive here ... the tandem jump is $300 + tax, although you can get 17 solo jumps for just over $1000 (for certification)

A 3000 feet jump means that the parachute will deploy as soon as you leave the plane. The freefall is half the fun (or more), dont they know that? Smile

they only let you do the solo jumps higher after you get the certificate ... guess it's a safety thing or something ... they are pretty clear on the website that there is almost no freefall...

My ex did it and he loved it. He did it before I was in the picture and it is the one thing I forbid him to do if he was with me. I couldn't stomach the thought of him jumping outta a friggen plane.
