What kind of system do you have, for crying out loud?! The source engine is known for its scalability. The only engine problem is the constant hdd access, but with 512mb of ram and low textures selected, the game runs very well (on a Radeon 9000, mind you) with some settings to medium on a res. of 1024. I kid you not, my friend has this old rig. and he said he enjoyed the game quite a bit, lol. |

I'm using 1.02 and original dvd (Retail) I hate putting the disc in and out.....hurry 1.02 crack

Isn't there a mini/maxi image? I find that to be the best solution. You can patch as you like, and don't need the DVD inside.

Don't the 2 images at GCW work with 1.02 ??
Sorry if it has been mentioned before, but this thread in inflated to death ...
EDIT: The bender image is updated for the 3rd time, so it should work with the second patch,right?

ok, so is there any way to patch the detonation version to 1.01 and then use the reloaded crack to play? The protection is in the MM.exe file, all I need is a way to patch the steamrip. I'm guessing the dark_messiah_1.01_uk_fr_it_eu patch will not work on the detonation release due to missing registry entries and other differences... any ideas on how to get the steam 1.01 patch as a stand-alone?

Running the game with a Intel Pentium 4 3.0ghz with 1024 mb ram and an ATI Radeon X800 XT Platinum Edition card. Huge loading times, it's stuttering and laggy. I am playing on high though since I didn't even notice much if not any performance change at all between medium and high.
I am waiting for a 1.02 crack though, version 1.02 fixes a lot of performance bugs like the stuttering, constant harddrive access etc. It's all in the patchnotes...

Afaik there is no crack for 1.02... Use a maxi image and YASU.

I was using the maxi-image until I found the fix for the 1.02 update....gameburnworld

Zellar, I think tha cracks is not legit but an old EXE... So that's no good.
Misho, how about your read some old posts?! The game will run on low settings on that PC of yours.

LeoNatan, I couldn't get the demo.exe to work with the 1.02 update...so I was using the maxi-image...then I discovered this at GCW and it works. When I hit the "~" key it says it is the 1.02 version. I'm almost finished and I haven't had a problem with it. No crashes or stutters. NOTE: This game needs 2gigs of ram no matter what is recommended on the box. As soon as I went to 2 gigs and did a re-install the game runs smooth as butter......

Yeah, ofcourse, for all high. But with textures and sound to low, it runs on a 512MB system with a Radeon 9000. That's my friend's rig and he plays it smoothly.
