Personally I'm using Windows XP x64. It's nice, fast, and nowdays its pretty much as compatible as 32bit ones. When I first started using them about a year and half ago half of the stuff wouldn't work, or I would have problems with it. I tried Vista 2 times and it seemed very similar to the state x64 was years ago; and both times I discovered problems with some common programs I use, crashes and such, and uninstalled vista within 1-2 days.

I assume things have improved since then but I don't plan on upgrading until first good DX10 game comes out, and then perhaps I'll dual boot just in case. I do belive Vista is a very good OS, but developers needs just few more months to fully adapt their programs to it.

One of the coolest features I noticed in Vista is the ability to use flash memory as virtual memory, hopefully no more serious hardrive scratching sounds Razz

Does anyone know if there are any problems with running Apps like Netobjects Fusion, Dreamweaver or Flash Mx in their newest versions?
No problem for Dreamweaver or flash in their latest version which are the ones from CS3, Dreamweaver MX used to work too.

even uac in vista is a sucky rip-opp from unix/linux that annoys you way too much:p
This the first thing you disable, but as you only need two clicks to do so it is irrelevant to even mention it.

I vote for XP, at least for now.
My next baby will be surely with Vista and for now i have no reasons for my needs to change OS.

There are only 10 kinds of people : those that understand binaries and those that don't.

Yeah... Sad It's nVidia's/AMD's fault, with their crappy unoptimized drivers! Sad I wonder why nVidia was never sued.

And still, I remember the same articles and graphs in the early days of XP.

must be a propaganda trick to bring nvidia down to teh ground. I suspect 334 more shitty reviews with ugly drivers then they'll show ATI and be all w00t

I installed and tried VISTA, but the drivers for my scanner don't work (Canon USB2), drivers for my motherboard don't support SATA2/my built-in network card yet, and my two favourite games (EVE and KOTOR) have horrible performance-issues (Probably due to my new ATI-card?).

It's like it doesn't support the latest modern hardware. And wtf is it with Razer and fucking up their drivers for VISTA? The tool to change settings crash like every 30 minutes.

XP works like a charm. I guess the drivers/software for hardware needs a year before they catch up.

VISTA has me real disappointed.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

LOL, Customer support cannot help with hardware-developers drivers. They only tell me I have to wait, that it's not Microsoft's responsibility to make sure drivers are available for my hardware.

Which is true.

And that's why I use XP, because I have 0 problems with it.
