Maybe I will... But it's better to have an unmodified DVD of Vista and apply latest cracks after install.

Well, the latest cracks are the two bios emulators... MS has not yet found a way around that (and may never do).

No reason I guess... but I wonder if this is a "true" oem version or a pre-cracked version just labeled as oem. If this is a real oem, then how will MS try and stop it?

Blacklisted OEM keys means mass hysteria, lol, so that's not the solution MS should be looking for.

Have you guys tried this? I'm getting reports that it has the Dell OEM folders in it.
It's either got the BIOS emu crack built in or it's just the Dell OEM and this group is retarded.
Either way, it really needs to be labeled better. Especially since Vista x86 OEM DVD is something you can pick up at the store, and has nothing to do with Dell.

Indeed it has the Dell OEM stuff in it... They took a Dell Vista Ultimate DVD and integrated the loader in it. It works, make no mistake, but it has Dell all over it.

Is there a reason to get this over the Pantheon release which also requires no activation, no serial key?
Is this release any better?

Works fine, I have it installed now. It does use the vmf loader but its integrated into it, and your PC will be recognized as a DELL. I don't have any problems though. Vista 32 bit rocks..

Is there any negative aspect to installing this release? I currently have it and it seems to be working fine but this is my first VISTA installation since the beta so I don't know anything about the piracy protection. Basically - is it safe for me to set up home on this release?

It's safe for now. MS has not figured a way to counter it yet.

Yes, there are two releases. There is the 64-bit Microsoft.Windows.Vista.Ultimate.X64.OEM.DVD.READ.NFO-NoPE and the 32-bit Microsoft.Windows.Vista.Ultimate.X86.OEM.DVD.READ.NFO-NoPE.

Is it the same with all vista version that after xx number of points after changing hardware the license drops? Or is there a version that lets you change hardware unlimited of times.
Do these "downloaded" vista versions run ok after cracking it?
Last question, When do a vista install besides XP, so that you got both XP and vista, do you get asked which OS to start up everytime you turn on the comp or can you change that in some kind of setting which to start up as primary OS?
Hope i didnt ask too many stupid questions
I'm sceptical getting Vista, but then again i was sceptical about getting XP when it came out... |
Dude, instead of copying stuff from other threads, you could have just read, you know...
With BIOS emulation crack, it won't deactivate after hw change. Versions work ok. It asks you what Windows you want.
