Haven't done much aside from some small texture edits and I found the scalers for character generation wich provided some laughs after changing the values somewhat.
(Proper SKD should be out in a few weeks according to the forums, bugs and game balance are a higher priority for now though I'm unsure if the agreement that only authorised mod teams will get access to it is still in effect.)

Trying to scale it for a better effect than those extreme bodies but it's not easy to find good values for the various scale controls.
(Haven't been able to modify the head controls at all due to this, but it still works ok.)

Managed to create a dwarf after alot of testing though but it's not that special:

(Would be fun if I could unlock the gender but it seems quite difficult to do.)

Those hit numbers are taken from one of the config files and these are the commands:

graph.DrawHitInfoInCampaign = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoInNetwork = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoOnLocalHero = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoOnNetworkHero = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoOnUnit = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoOnUnitBase = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoFromLocalHero = 1
graph.DrawHitInfoFromNetworkHero = 1
(Console or autoexec copy/paste should work just fine.)

But as I said there's not much that can be modified aside from various config files, shaders and the textures since alot of the more interesting files are packed in various archives and can't be extracted.
(Will be interesting to see what the SDK can do when/if it's released.)

its really hard to get stuck in this game, just follow to the green/red/blue dots on your map and you will solve evrything =)

think green is complete quests (where you only have to return)
red is i dunno well something.
and blue is like red =)

Red seems to be combat since I always get that colour when I have to kill someone, green seems to be completed quests when it is pulsating and talking to someone when it glows, unsure about blue but I think it's about finding a quest related item or delivering a item.

Haven't seen it but he probably killed Gandohar in the first village, can't be done in the new patch since all attacks only do 1 damage against him and he's quite tough without exploting alchemy and item combinations.

EDIT: Read the thread from the above link and it seems that was what the player did.

Looks like a nice slideshow here, any chance of getting this to run on a A64 3200 and X800PRO?
Well, it doesn't actually need to run, walking would be nice though Razz

Engine.Shadows 0

Try that command to disable the shadows, should help with performance.

Engine.GrassQ 0 - 10

Another console command that can either remove or increase the amount of grass.

Engine.WaterReflections 0

Toggles reflections of the water, could help somewhat but the water will look quite bad.

Engine.TrueWaterRef 0

Improves water relfection or makes them simpler, could also help somewhat.

There's ALOT of other commands, taken from the list on InsideTwoWorlds.com but the above should help, especially the shadows and grass tweaks. Smile

Commands:
(Might already have posted these though I don't think I did.)
 Spoiler:

EDIT: Seems that I might have posted these after all, guess it helps people find them easily but there's not that many pages to check so it's probably somewhat redundant to have them listed several times and there's a huge amount of them.
(Thankfully the spoiler tag minimises the post.)

Completely turning off AA goes quite a long way to improve performance, patched it to 1.3 too.

Dammit, I so need a new rig, waiting for the new AMD line to hit the market though...

Also check if you used the normal exe or the ATI exe during the patch installation since the one used for ATI cards is only needed for the 9xxx serie and the low-end X1050 card and will cause a performance hit on other cards that supports the functions that were changed to allow those cards to run the game without crashing.
(Some shader model 2.0b specific thing that causes a 20% performance hit if removed so that's why there's two options during the patch.)

Damn, you may be right, I swore it said somewhere that it was 2008.

The game really has A LOT of potential but theres some bugs that annoy the hell out of me that I stopped playing it for now till it gets patched more. Like my sound cutting out every 10 minutes of playing which I have to restarted the game.

I read they were expected to be on the market before christmas season, you can bet AMD will do everything to get it on the market b4 the holiday season.

The 1.3 patch is out and I haven't come across anything major in the 20 minutes I've played it Very Happy .

No, wait, I alt-tabbed to the desktop a few times during the game and after a while the graphics became all screwed up.

Only thing 1.3 did was change the alchemy exploit or something like that and the infinite stacking on the weapons. Other than that I don't believe they did anything else

There are some issues with 1.3 even if alot of bugs have been fixed but atleast the american and X360 version will have less problems. Wink

One of the newer problems I have seen reported is that the skill trainers that you use to reset skill points so you can spend them on other stuff are not taking any points but instead just keeps giving you points when you talk to them.
(Some user fixed this by saving and reloading and he did start over with the 1.3 patch.)

It's still a very good game but similar to Gothic III it does have some problems.
(Devs are working on them though wich is obvious with the fast patch releases, I'm unsure what happened to the super patch for G3 but from what I know it's still being worked on.)
