It's weird because I can swear I've read somewhere that every game on the 360 is supposed to have AA and I'm pretty sure it's in the contents of the box the 360 was in, but i can't find where it is said.

Anti-aliasing , yep.
Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

I played this last night and first impressions from me were pretty good! Realistic racing isnt a genre I usually go for but having played the original Forza on Xbox, I couldnt pass up on a next gen sequel! I dont have a HDTV (still!) but I thought the game looked great on my SDTV lol. The most noticeable thing for me after the exceptionally cool intro, was the seriously smooth framerate. I would guess this and PGR4 are the games to compete with GT on the PS3 but unlike the GT games, Forza2 has crash damage modelling and pretty good I have to say too! I had fun driving around the track in the opposite direction to the other cars anyway! Looking forward to the scene release! |
The damage modelling is pathetic, your back bumper comes off and the rest of the car looks like its tried to go down an alley thats too narrow. your car doesnt even slow down on the demo, I had 10/15 head on collisions at over 200km/h in a ford GT and didnt even break my windscreen or do any damage to the steering or even slow the car down. I hope that it was its because its a demo and doesnt represent the full game otherwise theres no point in having it. Gran Turismo 4 Still feels superior in terms of gameplay, but I cant cant wait to get my hands on the full version to have a tinker with the customizations. Looks pretty sweet couldnt find a change camera button, but only played it for about 10 mins, wanted to see what it would be like to wreck a $250,000 car!!

I've read somewhere that the damage effect on the car in the demo had been switched off, but it will be present in the retail. The effect of damage to car will also be selectable (easy=no effect to full simulation= can't drive the car because of knacked axels and billowing smoke!).

Maybe you should read up a bit before you bash it.The damage-setting in the demo is set to cosmetic, full version will have full damage.
Watercooled 5950X | AORUS Master X570 | Asus RTX 3090 TUF Gaming OC | 64Gb RAM | 1Tb 970 Evo Plus + 2Tb 660p | etc etc

why would they want their demo to look bad? They are close to the release, so bet it goes gold pretty soon.

I guess we can expect a release soon...
I only hope there are no surprises there (Crackdown's style)...
