If you went back and played the original you wouldn't be saying that anymore, the original is pretty horrible now, and not just because of the graphics, it was controlling Lara and the way she moved.

a classic is a classic... you can say doom and doom 2 sucked because the controls and graphics pale by todays standards if you want, but i wouldnt. and besides... the simple keyboard non-aiming system that the original used, was perfectly fine for the original... not the mention the story, design, gameplay, atmosphere, and overall feeling of the game, was never matched in any of the following games, until legend came along.
depending on how closely this game sticks to the original one, i honestly think that this could be the greatest tr game ever, melding the things that made the original great, with modern day controls and visuals... but what that other guy said about the tr games getting 'better and better', was just complete BS.

I base my opinion on the simple fact that they screwed up every TR game after the original, but I didn't played TR2.. I've seen the remade intro of this new TR and it's not as good as the first, the voice acting doesn't sound as nice either. Only if the old TR crew was involved in this.. (I don't know if they are/aren't)
BTW I still need to try out legend.. not sure if it's worth.

It is. Crystal Dynamics are damn good when they are doing what they do best, I mean they rarely put out bad games actually, do they ?
