im sure they will allow you to place men outside. i mean they are guards and just let them patrol. still its a pretty tough game but still fun.

And you can put security cameras and sirens and better security doors etc..
The demo really doesn't show much of what you can do in the game.

Yeah I found the demo to be pretty small, and alot of good options are not in the demo.
But EG is coming this Sept, so soon we will see it:)

Thanks - Still not sure - let's say it has fallen a few notches down the ever growing list of things I must play before I die - sadly Doom3 and Deusx 2 and in front of it at this stage - who has the time?
Speed
- An after thought on that. I don't know about you - but I have a wife and kids - and I keep thinking how good it would be to even have a weekend free so I could get lost in a few big games I’ve been hanging to fully explore (Homeworld 2 anyone). But the irony is that when she does take off - the last thing I want to do is play computer games. So I’m stuck hanging around warez game boards - talking and waiting for the release of games that I know I’ll never play.
I must get a new hobby - game collection isn't that sensible for someone in my position.

yea, this game is looking like a big letdown.
when i first heard of it, i could not wait to check it out, but now.... whatever.
with ground control 2, warhammer 40k, Doom3, Sims 2, and half-life 2 nearly here, just off the top of my head, why would i bother with this?
if it had multilplayer, it would be a no brainer hit, as it appears to me to owe its direct lineage to the great Dungeon Keeper 2.
but they apparently left it out, and it appears it will retail at $50; screw that!

The game rocks its got all the elements i've missed. "lair management" research, building, planning missions and sorting out your "away team" equipment x-com style, feels they threw some syndicate, dungeon keeper, theme hospital, x-com and added the james bond universe and mixed it all up good, what a nice cocktail it turned out to be . Also add the prospect of being evil and of course conquering the world. Oh they also included a level editor, so its possible to design your own islands for your "lair" and practically creating a whole new game should you feel like it, though the ai editing tools are proprietary but you can edit the game "on the fly" as you go. So get this great game its out in the US and some european countries now.

The gamspot reviewers main complaint is that you don't have direct control over your units. That was one of the best things about dungeon keeper and I loved that. Can't wait for this.
