Code: | Shadowrun, the new multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) based on the much-beloved role-playing game (RPG) franchise. Shadowrun propels team-based combat into a new dimension with a revolutionary blend of modern weaponry and ancient magic. Up to 16 players can battle for control of this new world through Xbox 360-to-Windows Vista online compatibility. In “Shadowrun” players vie for supremacy in a constantly evolving battlefield where advanced technology and ancient magic provide an unprecedented and high-velocity tactical action experience.
Rich legacy brought to life. After a 5,000-year absence, magic has returned to the world of 2021, and global corporate might battles a relentless ancient order to harness this reawakened power. Be a part of the RNA, a global megacorporation, and bring order (and profit) to a world of chaos. Or join the Lineage to keep magic wild and free at all costs. Choose a side and wage war for the future of magic in the new world of “Shadowrun.”
Bending reality and changing the rules of combat. Dive into a universe where ancient magic co-exists with deadly weaponry, and experience a revolution in multiplayer FPS gaming. Purchase advanced technology and magic for each round in an extraordinary arms race to improve your abilities and open new tactics for your team. Use your cybernetic eye to spot your enemy through walls, teleport behind your opponents in the blink of an eye, trigger a hologram as a distraction, and cut them down with a burst from your rifle to clear the room before they even know you are there.
Intense cross-platform multiplayer action. For the first time ever, Xbox 360 and Windows Vista gamers can compete as a team or as foes. Experience a quantum leap in interactivity as console and Windows Vista-based PC gamers battle for supremacy online via Windows Vista and the Xbox Live® service. While “Shadowrun” gamers will battle endlessly for the right to be crowned the last man standing, they will also struggle to answer the question of which is the more-efficient killer: a Windows®-based PC or Xbox 360. Through the unprecedented cross-platform functionality, up to 16 gamers using both a Windows-based PC and the Xbox 360 console will participate together in the ultimate multiplayer frag-fest. Don’t be sidelined onto one platform: Control your own destiny and play on the console or the PC.
The Windows Vista experience. Windows gamers can participate in their own next generation of gaming as “Shadowrun” ushers in the era of Windows Vista. Through the power of the Windows Vista platform, “Shadowrun” promises a visually stunning, over-the-top action experience.
Classic races reinterpreted for a new world. Experience the thrill of combat as magic reawakens creatures of legend. Humans are joined by elves, dwarves and trolls in a battle for supremacy among soaring corporate towers and an ancient ziggurat of power. Strike a balance on your team with races possessing unique abilities that complement your weapons and tactics.
The ultimate online (and offline) battlefield. Fight against or alongside AI teammates or join up with friends against all comers via System Link, Split-screen, LAN and Xbox Live. Fill out your team with incredible AI characters that respond to each tactical situation and provide an unparalleled team experience. Train offline with the robust AI, or play through a host of minigames cooperatively online with your friends as you master the magic and technology of “Shadowrun.” |

Since it says "Microsoft Game Studios" I'm thinking it's not region Free.
No game from Microsoft is Region Free.
I'm still waiting for Forza 2 now I'll be waiting for this

oo, I'm new to the console scene, I didn't know if it was able to be unlocked by talented scene groups or something.

Not possible at this time to remove region checks from the 360. It would break the signature and cause the game not to boot.
Guess I'll be waiting for a NTSC version....again.

so no singleplayer, not even against bots....no point grabbing the scene release then. If its good, I will get the pc version, its only 44 dollars as opposed to 60 for the 360 version.

It's ironic that Microsoft make a big deal of letting games be region free if they wish. But then don't make their own published games region free.

This really pisses me off, take a classic game (one of my favourite Snes games) dark Action Rpg, had you killing people and working in the shady underground .... And change it to a FPS, cos the 360 market is really hurting for FPS ...
I mean for fucks sake ?!?
Why call it Shadowrun ?? When it has absolutely nothing related to the previous game, except being made by the same studio ???
Oh and Masterjuba fcuk off and never reply to anything I write

The first Multiplayer game on Xbox console that was only created for LIVE ...
This game looks like a CS vs HALO no life kids kind of game
So you must have a gold or silver , to play this on the xbox360 live ?

Aww man you guys certainly do wear blinkers .... Master Juba always replies anything negative to anything I write on here, go check the other Shadowrun thread .....
He obviously doesn't like what I say .... I ignore him, but he replies to anything I write with negativity .... So I asked as nicely as I can for him just to ignore me as I clearly have different opinions then him.
Is that ok, sorry I used the F word, it is a sunday too my Gran will be annoyed ... |
Click the ignore user button on his post You won't see his posts anymore.

that imbecile and his fps problem, grow the fuk up |
Ok Eliz I'm not going to bite ..... I do have a problem with too many FPS, but hey I knew what I was buying when I got the 360 so that is my fault .... I do still enjoy my 360 when it's working .....
The only thing that pissed me off with this game is that it was a great Action RPG game for the SNES, why change it to a FPS when there are hardly any Action RPGS for the 360 but loads of FPS ...... Ok if the game is great as a FPS that's good too, but why not change the name as it has got no relevance at all to the original Shadowrun game apart from being made by the same studio ..... Call it a different name, then you won't get grumpy old bastards like me complaining

Ok, so from now own there's no Shadowrun for me. insted, I'm gonna call it " Baba The Chimpanzze Fighter". happy now? good.
So did anyone tried playing Baba single player with bots? I really like to know if it's worth leeching just for that ?

Are the achievments for online only, or can you obtain them in bot matches offline, probably the 1st option but thought i'd ask if anyone has it yet
