as soon as the the 4 arrows are on on screen u should press b and a direciton on ur x360 controller itll get a bit blurry as lara does a slowish dive, then these 2 or 3 crosshairs will line up when they go red u fire ur gun and ull kapow the trex and it wil stumble. you can still get hit in this blurry mode so its just a matter of luck/timing.

you need to go down... there are 2 thing you can move and use to get to the other side. From the left and right of lara (as in your pic) there are places you can go... and open these cates...

how can you get stuck in so easy places...

Yeah, that one wasn't even remotely hard. Just go in the left and in the right tunnel and pull the switches, easy as that.

Actually, I've already gone left and right and flipped both switches. They open the 2 doors behind this one in front. So now that that's out of the way..what next?

You climb the left side of the crumbling statue thing pictured left of the door to get up on to the top of the door. Then swing over to the other door to find the last switch... IIRC Smile

Right,,,

Im at this point in the game, where I have two options to progress;

Vault up - Which you cannot do, because lara cant read

Or...

Grapple hook across, which leads to not being able to grab onto anything! & then being cut in half by the blades.

There no where else to progress, Unless I go back! out of the room, and turn back on myself, which would obviously be pointless.

IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY, LOOK AT THE SCRENSHOT, WHICH ARE ANNOTATED TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHERE I AM COMING FROM.

HELP?[/i]

judging by the amount of posts of people not being able to solve simple puzzles and giving up after a couple minutes I would say it brings out the inner stupidity of you haha. If you like puzzle games or any of the other ones you should like this.

if you get stuck... and really get stuck in this game (like cant figure it out) then you must have some problems... this game is easy and fun. Some places when you first enter are like "wtf, where to I need to go now" but if you look at the level design its all easy and fun.

I remember that tomb raider 2 had more difficult places and you constantly needed to watch your health and how many med back's you had. but in this game its near impossible to run out of medbacks...

I finished the game and I have to say this is the best new tomb raider I have played since the Tomb Raider 2-4-5 (5 had some fun times, and so did the 4 th but it had some fucked up bugs).

Legend was to easy for me and to much action, shooting. But this Tomb Raider feels little bit like the good old one.

Hopefully the next tomb raider is even better and has longer play time. Tomb Raider Anniversary was to short IMO.... I was hoping for a longer game Smile

It's possible, though near impossible if you so much as touch your mouse. Leave the camera position alone, or no matter how much you push backwards, she'll just jump sideways & crash.

Been stuck there for quite some time myself.

Playing with a Xbox 360 controller on PC now, works better especially on jumps like that or bossfights.

its known as SAFPSS.
simple ass fps syndrome.
it makes you think that all games are supposed to be about nothing but shooting and running in a straight line with complete lack of thought.

its an all too common disease these days.
common symtoms are "WTF THIS GAME SUCKS!!!!"
"OMG WHERES THE TRAINER?"
"CANT YOU JUST TELL ME HOW TO DO IT????"
and my favorite
"IM NOT WASTING ANYMORE TIME ON THIS CONsOLE KIDDIE CRAP!!! WHERE IS MY 2142?"

this disease in incurable at the moment.

I think it's possible for anyone to get stuck on certain puzzles, such as the ones that require a specific item to progress past. It's easy to overlook the fact you need said item and so you assume the puzzle can be completed without it, attempting it until frustration gets the better of you.

Lets take The Penumbre Overture as a good example of a game with logical puzzles, the only times I got stuck in that was when I missed an item, and so the option to progress just wasn't there (such as reading a book on explosives to be able tp pick up the fuse).

Einstein could get stuck in a situation like that. But I agree that sometimes people just can't be bothered to engage their brain when playing a game, and honestly thats fair enough. Games are a form of recreation, a challenge is good, but many people want to relax by playing a game, not get aggravated. Not everyone has hours spare to play games all day.

Hell yeah, had to try that bastard about 50 times! I read a few guides on how to defeat him and they all made out he was well easy, certainly didn't seem that way for me!

Then obviously they are choosing the wrong games to relax with. Laughing
