been playing the game with ok graphics running ok right up untill the red forest and ive just started this level and now things are looking abit different, when all the radiation starts appearing my sky seems to go a pixilated and yellow and the full screen looks very yellow and pixilated, anyone got any idea of what might be happening and maybe an idea of how to fix it! i have a geforce 7600GS with a gig and half of ram and a p4 3.2ghz
like i say everything has been great right up untill this level, the rain looks very blocky aswell and the lightning or rain which ever it is, looks like white triangles!
If i start the game from and earlyier save its ok again, but when i get near a certain area it goes again and stays like that! ive tryed everything i can think of run out of ideas, any help would be greatly apreciated! and hope i explained well anuff!
When i say i get to a certain area and it goes yellow again, its now in an exact area, its roughly the same area it starts all the time, when the radiation kicks in ect!!

Ive read threw all from that thread before i posted! and no im not fully patched, havent had any need to because like i say everything as been working like a charm right up untill this level, and even the start of the level is ok, its just when the radiation kicks in, everything goes to crap, a horrible yellow colour!
like i say i have had no need to use the patches, if it isent broken dont fix it! but i guess that isent the issue now eh! also if i were to use the updates now, i would lose all my save games, so that would suck big time!
Another strange thing i noticed was, when i got killed while im dead on the floor all the graphics are back to normal they look brilliant again, but as soon as i start it they go yellow again! i dont think it could be much, as like i say when i die everything is back normal again!
Its driving me mad, any ideas anyone, i would rather not have to update to find out its going to be still the same!

It's more than radiation in Red Forest. You might have noticed a message about dangerous Psi energy? Like when you "get near a certain area"?
You're going to need some special equipment to let you get through there without dying (or mounds and mounds of health packs).

Cannot believe noone else has had this prob? maybe its my setup or something! anyways got that suit you mentioned and when i got back to red forest it was dark, so it wasent that bad, still yellow but not as bad, so a little improvement, anyways now im past that little bit and back inside, its ok again! that is so weird, maybe a bug or some sort! like mentioned the patches might fix it, but noway im losing all my save games!
Thanks all the same, to those that replyed! problem not solved but passed that bit now! hopefully thats it for there!
