Whats the point?.......It's already been pointed out that you need a new crack for it to work beyond 30 min.

It's a simulator... no shooting, no realy action with explosions, no planes ripping up into pieces.
It's pure flying though there are missions you can do which involves flying from a to b, landing in harsh weather etc.
Either you have to be curious or a plane-enthusiast to get it. To enjoy it you'd have to be a plane-entusiast i think. (I am, and i love it)

It's all about taking-off and landing and it's very realistic. Try it with a boeing 747-700 and if you'll manage you can to be considered to fly a real airplane. It's much more realistic comparised to fs 2004 and most buttons are at the right places now but they still left some out for correcting. I made landings in all kind of weather conditions and imagine you're in a real airplane, you don't see the landing zone and you only fly on your instruments when you don't see anything and you only see the landing zone and the first bakens when you're about to hit the ground. Also ATC is much more realistic then in 2004. A pity that the 777 is not in it yet Sad but were playing it a lot of hours ( even after real flying ) i know it's realistic 'cause i'm flying myself on a 777-300 and i'm now i'm studying to fly on an airbus a 380. The main things are trying to learn how to use the flaps, trim and rudder; check it yourself it's not that difficult as it seems to be after a while Smile

I don't think you can say if you can land a 747 in FSx you can land it for real, but you do get a similar feeling of how it would be in real life.
It's very realistic, but it's not like the simulators they use for real aviation pilots...
Just wish they would have learned by now and added helicopter traffic... Sad

well, i don't have any problems bringing down the bird on the middle of the runway. it's just the way it lands on the runway. my landings are still too hard, depending on the plane. a learjet isn't that hard to land smooth, but a 747 is a different story...

Use your flaps, watch your speed while landing, use the rudder fe for correcting fe Smile Just keep trying, i haven't got a joystick right here and a keyboard is a bit more difficult but i still get along Smile
