So hang on what would happen if peter and the hatian came into contact? would peter absorb his abilities or not? people cant USE their abilities around him but peter doesn't knowingly absorb. bit of a paradox there i think. Also the haitan erases memories AND for some reason people cant use their abilities around him. is that 2 abilities? does he consciously block them? or is it like peters absorbing? If nathan is in the 2nd series then thats a bit odd. UNLESS sylar kills the shifter chick and it becomes nathan like in the future. Also sylar can control his powers cos he can see how they work and with the added thing from that diner girl of learning real fast, so surely that means peter can, so why couldnt he control his shit? and Sylar can use more than one ability at a time so why cant peter. aside from the online novels which may explain some of this (but i see them as different, kinda like star wars and its "expanded universe"), theres quite a few inconsistencies that confuse me When does the spin off start? anyone know?

mhmm this reminds me to the episode where nathan flew away right in front of the haitian and mr. bennet. why in the fucking hell could he flew away? ^^ @ the spinoff, its meant to fill in between the sweepstakes. so you dont have 2-3 months to wait for the next heroes episode

Because the Haitian has to concentrate to use his powers. He is like a radio tower that has to send out waves. It's not an "always-on" power. Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Maybe an oversight on the part of the writers?

I mean, when Hiro and Peter of the future were assaulting the building with the Haitian in, he was occupied with preparing to kill the present Hiro, so didn't seem like he had to concentrate to supress their powers then.

yeah that's a bit odd. Maybe in the future he's constantly using his powers as there are bands of super powered freaks fighting against him and such.

I dunno.
He mainly has to concentrate to do the memory thing. Other bit I think he just has to be on his toes.

Same here, i expected much better...

That reminds me, where did Sylar get those ice/freezing powers? I don't feel like watching past episodes, the season break was too long and i forgot a couple of things

He had them from the begining since they introduced him. They never showed how he got them or if he met anyone with them.

The ending was indeed... rubbish but hey... it wasn't AWFUL Very Happy

You sure? The thing i remember best when they introduced him was he suddenly "saw what made people tick", when that guy with telekinesis came to him. I seem to recall it was the first power he stole...

Well, not that it matters anyway... this ending was rubish indeed, Peter didn't show up, Sylar is probably still alive, the sudden repentance of Nathan, LD about to kick the bucket...and that crap with Hiro, what the hell is that supposed to be?

EDIT: Oh, i forgot, and was that crap with Peter being invisible in the past, seeing himself taking care of Nicole's father and so on? How did that happen? I understood nothing of that bit... just a silly dream?

Yeah i never thought of that, but the kid mohinder sees isn't dead so i'm not too sure, but that seems to be along the right track for sure! something to do with dreams but not the dead i don't think.

As for Sylar's freezing power yeah it showed the telekinesis as his first power, however that was when we first SAW Sylar properly. not when he was introduced via storyline. he was first introduced in the episode where Matt/Molly was introduced. when he killed mollys parents by freezing them and chopping the top of the heads off etc etc.

Well it's not like talking to the dead is an obvious power. He talked to his sis that helped him get some understanding. I think it happened more than once. Then peter had a discussion talking to the old fart who told him some important shit. I don't think day dreaming and talking to the dead is common.

Sylar'd have people show him their power or he'd witness it to know for sure. You can't witness someone sleeping and talking to the dead.

Y'know. 'Sides he's not a murderer. He only kills those with some sort of power. The first murder was of the cheerleader. He just wants to have all the power.

GestaltO, the kid mohind0r saw was his dead sister. Very Happy

and yeah they never showed him how he got the power, he was introduced already with it.

Already been answered in the thread. He can only use one power at any one time, and as his 'nuclear power' was out of control he was unable to do anything else.
