Gonna give it a try thnx

EDIT: i also have the JFKPC-clone release, but i cant get the game to work with only YASU. The launcher crashes with the yasu that is included with the release and with the latest one.
I guess you must be a very lucky guy.

I have the clone release without the patch, works flawlessly. However, if you do not have the clone release I suggest this mini image:
http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/?d=2007&f=Netshow-MoMa_Mi_FIX!rar

The mini image and clone releases should work with the patch if you use the newest versions of YASU:
http://yasu.copybase.ch/download/0c42ec471c9556db3cf0261e47000f2c/YASU_1-2b-7060.zip

For me the launcher also doesn't work. No chance to configure the game. The launcher does not start. Game starts only with the .cmd-trick. I'm really desperate.

I really need this launcher-menu to configure "texture resolution", "Post Processing", "Lighting", "Force Shader Model 2.0" and Joypad Options. Didn't found it in "MonsterEngine.ini". WTF?

The user settings are not located in the directory mentioned above. Those I think are the general settings. My user settings are in the following directory:
Code:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\ArtificialStudios\MonsterMadness

And the settings I have configure are:
Code:

[Default]
Initialized=True
Profile=something
Language=INT
Resolution=1280x1024 (4:3)
FullScreen=True
Texture=High
PostProcess=True
Lights=True
Audio=32
Sound=True
Ambient=True
Shader2=False

Lower in the file you can also set the keys manually if the launcher does not work for you. But like I said, i did not use any cracks or install the 1.1 patch. The launcher has always worked for me, no idea why.[/code]

Oh and another thing. I've read somewhere that the launcher might need .NET Framework 2.0 installed. So I think thats why you get errors running it.

Firstly try to install the .NET Frameworkd 2.0 and see if that works (I believe it should).
Get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5
About the file, the name of the ini file dependant on the user name of your windows account.
So the file would be:
Code:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\ArtificialStudios\MonsterMadness\YourUserNameLauncher.ini

PostPosted: Tue, 5th Jun 2007 19:59    Post subject: How to Run Monster Madness
Smile After toying with this game for hours I figured out exactly how to run this its not brain surgery but just trying differnt things ok here we go.. If you are using version 1.0 from Vitality just install it as usual and copy crack make sure the dvd is still in the drive run the config screen which indeed does work and make sure on the options screen
FORCE SHADER MODEL 2 that takes care of 90% of the problems then the game runs and your off playing:

Using Patch 1.01
1-Use clone copy mount and install patch 1.01 from web site reboot and it works perfect providing you checked force shader 2.0

If you wish to use the update crack 1.01 install patch make sure dvd is in drive and click again on shortcut or go into start menu cofig screen make sure force 2.0 shader is checked and magically it works

I found the key being the no cd problem as long as you do mind the dvd in the drive you can use the crack for others you can use the clone flawlessy using new yatsu 2.60b
with the update....

Enjoy

You mean, you burned on dvd and then put it in the drive, or can it be mounted as well?

I think the directory is automatically created when you run the launcher, and probably when you start playing the game, since the .mmp file is profile file that saves all of the information about your progress and stuff.

Well, i can't open the launcher, and ive been playing the game, but it didnt make a map in My Documents & settings. So to say it in a few words, this game is utter crap!!
But what i did notice is that when i play, my charachter has the name from My Documents & settings, so thats really weird!
