I have a Radeon 9600, AMD 3000+ with 1 GB of RAM right now, and I predict I won't be able to run new games soon, so time for an upgrade Crying or Very sad

I have the exact same setup as you, I just thought I'd say that.

That isn't even a very significant upgrade, if you can't afford to buy a top of the range PC, just get a 360. Apart from Crysis virtually all of the good games coming in the future are cross-platform.

Yeah I know, but I grew up on a PC and basketball, and I will probably end up making my living in front of a PC. So I hope you understand, its not like I have anything against consoles, I'm just not comfortable with them. Its like, when I play console games it feels awkward, and as if I don't have enough control. Give me a mouse and keyboard ant day, tho.

And how is it not a significant upgrade?

Thats fair enough, but if you're making your living working on a PC maybe you won't feel so inclined to use it when you get home. I know a few people like that.

Well it's certainly an improvement on your old PC, it's just if you're going to do it, you might as well go all out. Otherwise you're going to be having to upgrade again in a year or two. I'm not even sure if that computer could run Crysis on max, so how would it handle games in two years? If thats not an issue (because for example your financial situation is liable to change soon) then go for it.

Coolio. I have a job that pays pretty well, so I can upgrade once a year and still have gas money Razz
