As funny as this may sound but the website that was stupidly mentioned in the "Worst Websites Ever" thread under 'General' but it actually turns out to be a winner ( at least in my eyes anyways)
And the latest article is buying a PSP for $99! Thats just over £50
Any of you fellow USA guys wanna buy me one!!!!!!?

Yes there are thousands of articles on the net but as i am a registered member and on here why wouldnt i want to post something that is valid for "General Chatter".
I would hold my hands up and say i am a spammer if i posted something that was spamming my website such as porn or perhaps buying something that is what i consider a spammer. Someone purposely advertising a site to make a gain from it.
What gain did i get from making people aware of a potential threat to them? F-ALL
Im not spamming sales, if anything im educating peope which i consider a good call.
Ciao

its not possible..
all videoes on youtube are encoded by youtube.. you upload shit to them - they re-encode it to their standards/formats..
if there was any trojans on youtube.. they'ld be comming from youtube themselves.. and you all know what would happen if that was disclosed..
so nope - no trojans on youtube

Befor assuming that there are no trojans, I would read the post and check out the video tutorial on the above links.
Websense has made a tutorial showcasing the Trojan Horses being deployed whilst watching a dodgy YouTube clip.
You can see the nature of the hack attack on above links.
Cheers

Why do you even care when the members of this board have seen through your attempt of advertising your site?

Well i have just read an internet article/video tutorial about how Trojan Horses are being imbedded within these clips.

FUD times ten.
If you had read the article on their blog OR listened to the vlog you posted, you d understand that the user has to run a file himself, that subsquently will start up the youtube link and do something in the background. So there is no chance in hell, that its imbedded within these clips. It is just the usual exe file in an email attachement or similar...
http://www.websense.com/securitylabs/blog/blog.php?BlogID=129
Quote: | ... Assuming the user runs the file, the application then opens your default browser and connects to a YouTube video called "After World Episode 6". In the background it then connects to another web server which is hosted in Washington, D.C. and downloads two additional files which contain the payload. |
