i am running 3.03 oe-c on my ta082 which is fine, and don't really want to go through the heart ache of down>upgrading to 3.40 etc
Have only had 2 games not wanting to work so far...
1st - ratchet and clank, which worked once i'd pushed clock speed upto 266
2nd - parappa (us psp not psxpsp), which boots and then locks up
using devhook 0.52 and fw 3.11 parappa states it needs 3.30
can devhook or similar emulate 3.30??
any suggestions as the missus has never played the original badboi of rhythm games & i'm up for loosing many hours again to this one 
any other games that will need >3.03 as all the lists i've found are for 2.71 era

because ive got a ta082 and bricked one already when going down to 1.5 the first time, thank god tesco staff have no idea about modding/bricking....
as far as i'm aware its just as risky going back down & up again... its only parappa that needs it so far & there are no other benefits (for me) with going to 3.40...
will probably have to at some point but the missus will have my balls if i brick this one

Upgrade to 3.40..More and more games will be required for it. Parappa game is amazing! Exact replica of old pSX game. Kick Kick Chop...Onion Man.,.
Just read and follow directions. Ive never bricked mine.

both i've had are ta-082's which are a bit of a mare... was only with advice on these forums that i went from 2.71 upto 2.80 then used noobs 2.8 downgrader to goto 1.50 then upto 3.03 oe-c, wish i had taken the advice to goto 3.40 oe-a instead but such is life....
it was when i went down to 1.5 from 2.71 on the first one that it bricked...all prep and downgrade went fine...until reboot...then black screen brick 
is it as risky going back down to 1.50 thro recovery once you have successfully got an oe firmware on, or is the risk the same every time you down or up grade?
i'm up for doing it, but if it does brick i will never hear the end of it as the missus can't see the point...

you are aware you can go from 3.03oe to any other oe without going back down to 1.5 right?
also, if youre already in an oe then you have virtually no chance of bricking when you go to anouther version of oe

i wasnt aware mate, everything i've read has said you need to go back to 1.50 before going up... do i need any specific installer for a 3.03 oe-c > 3.40 oe-a upgrade or will standard DA do?

thanks for the advice, i re-read tutorials and have now successfully updated to 3.40 oe-a
time to stick parappa back on
