edit: im unistalling , and reinstalling again as we speak, maybe something got screwed up along the process

i ran demo fine on my system, maxxed. maybe tiny bit slow but was still very playable and replays fien too

All I have to say about this colin mc rae ...
Oh i forgot, yasu doesn't work for me too, and check all options in DT doesn't do it also.
So i'll try to check only securom and safedisc in DT and it work like a charm.
But, with my comp ... it's really not playable... And the bad is, when i change the options better or worst, it don't change anything... i get 20-25 fps in 1024x768 in ultra or in low settings.
And all the others games i have works very good at 1280x1024 full details and filter.
For your information, i have :
X2 4600+
7950 GX2 500/1200@560/1600 (sli activated in control panel)
2 go corsair dual channel
and ...
vista ? perhaps it is the cause, but i'm really have a doubt...

im using clean XP SP2 .. tried all combinations, but nothing, still the same. With alcohol 52 it just hangs with hourglasses

nice.. lets see whats new in the patch.. lets hope it does not update the SF version..because i want to patch the game ^^ for the haters this is the best rally game ever.. is amazing in all aspects... so stop with the BS. And use XP.. vista is crap. buy a new pc & upgrade, get over it, the only thing bad in this game is the performance yes is true, but this can be fixed in future patch..
for the noobs saying that cant run the game
YOU NEED LAST VERSION OF DAEMON TOOLS, MOUNT AND PLAY and disable other CRAP like alhcool 120% or something.. AND USE XP.

The game runs better than the demo for me. I play it on 1440x900/max detail/2xAA/8xAF@8800GTS 640M and it runs quite smooth. (a few slowdowns at demanding sections)
Its a very nice game, the controls are strange, they feel great from the inside/bumper view, but on the outside camera its a catastrophy. Like ice skating. Otherwise its great fun, I'm at Tier 4 now. I really love the diversity of the game.
Btw, I have the same problem with starting the game even tho I use the newest DT plus SPTD 1.47 beta on XP. Unmounting the image, then re-mounting it onto a second virtual drive (or changing the drive letter) seems to do the job. I had to to this procedure 3 times now and it always worked for me.
And now back into the asshole of Timo!

Other games run more then great.
This game is really awsome! I like how the changed the rally handling.
I have race'd with this strange very fast car online. And damn
With this handling i could handle it very well. And it was my third race!
Of course a was first of the four ppl in it. It handles perfect!
And the other race types are very nice.
I like those cross events! They are great.
Let's hope there comes a patch for this game and yes, that don't update starforce but my FPS...

Another question. ANyone have an idea how to force car to drive more natural?
Lucky, that I did not buy the game. Waste of money for now. Crappy hadling, steering....
