there is no confirmation that this is fake or real, what is strange is that the thread about this demo on NVnews.com was removed, that is perculiar. Im a member there and if it turned out to be fake they would have just locked the thread but they actually deleted it.
strange indeed.

he is talking about the Crysis beta, methinks it may be all too real!

Don't you find it peculiar that there is no confirmation of this after so long? To me that means quite obviously that it is fake.
Is the demo real? Of course, Crytek have said they will release a demo. But it ain't out yet. |

Parallax, its because noone has the certain file in its entirety, alot of folks stuck toward the end of the file.
Its strange that nvnews deleted the thread and stated 'not to talk about the beta' that says to me there is a certain validity to the claims it is real.

I just got to 100% and double clicked the .exe and cmd prompt opened and I havent gotten a warning yet from kaspersky about a virus.... so i dont know what the fuck it did.
It's not the crysis beta installation wizard shown on some websites.
So I'm quite dissapointed.
I'm ready about to try a different torrent, since there are two. but this one is a no go.

I'm not assuming anything, I'm simply thinking logical here. What if there was a fake Alan Wake alpha-torrent available, but it stopped at 99% for everyone? Would you assume it was real?

No I wouldnt parallax, Ive been round here for a number of years I have a good sense for things, especially when something like this happens.
Yes its probably fake, but to say it IS fake is ignorant of anyone without proper investigation. I'll eat humble pie when its definatly confirmed but at the minute its not.
in the meantime look at the key points of evidence:
* The massive thread was deleted mysteriously on nvnews
* A number of threads about it across the web (on GS and FP and so on) have been deleted
* The origional poster of the file also got the official Nvidia drivers a few weeks before they were released
* Crytek are reporting a beta demo is coming this month
* The install screen screenshot has not been seen before
points of evidence of fakery:
* Noone has the full file yet so noone knows. |

This is done to avoid legal troubles for the sites. Talking about and/or posting links to illegal leaked versions of software has a tendency to do that.

Look at what you just said 'illigal leaked versions of software' there wouldnt be a massive deletion of threads if it was gay porn now would there.

you dont? its shows reliability that the guy that posted it may work for nvidia. Even if the individual does not then he seems to get early versions of things.

I cant prove it, just as you cant prove its fake. The reason I stated this is because theres a demo in the works, and its highly likely that nvidia and some other insider companies have a demo to work with, thus increasing the chances this file is real.

I really dont want to drop to the level of name calling but jeez. The screenshot hasn't been seen before. Where did he magically get it from then? its proves alot more than you think. The install has been purposefully cut off to prevent his identity from being disclosed.

I have stated more than enough times that Im probably wrong and its fake at least I can admit that. You dont seem to be able to admit that you dont know how fake/real it is. that is where we differ my friend, Im looking at this objectively.
