It has an UNCONFIRMED release date set for November the 23rd in the US and the 26th elsewhere. This was announced by VUG and not confirmed by valve. This is also NOT a gold announcement just a timeframe estimate.

the review is ok...kinda dissapointed that the guy didnt offer much insight to the AI or these scripted sequences where the AI supposedly plays out differently each time. All in all a good peice of promotion material

i meant the review sucked not because he didn't spoil anything, just because he didn't went technical, he only talked about his game experience, not the AI, that sort of stuff

Yeah, I gotta agree, that was a really gay review. If I bought that magazine, I'd be dissapointed. It's great that he didn'[t spoil anything, but, he really didn't mention much either. It was all fluff. He could of talked more about the graphics. How did the game run. What rig he was using. Sounds, music, loading times..blah
They get the gayest people to review the best games.

In our german magazines, there is always a small area, where the reviewer writes down his own impression.
The PC Gamer Reviewer used the whole article for that.
Mr. PC Gamer: Gabe, I finished the review today
Gabe: Hmm... Let me see, 93%? Didn't wee agree to 96%
Mr. PC Gamer: Yea, you are right
Gabe: Hmm... Gimme that hamburger... You mentioned technical problems, and wrote, that there is no multiplayer.
Mr. PC Gamer: Right
Gabe: Thats wrong
Mr. PC Gamer: What please?
Gabe: Cut it... gimme another one... Hey, the review suxx. I write you a new one instead.
Mr. PC Gamer: Okay, so let me play then
Gabe: Here, do so. I will change your steam account.

what i think is a joke is the fact that it could be up to 2 months before we see the game because VU games wanna put the promotion machine into gear. Fuck that what promotion does the most talked about pc game of all time need? the promotional boxes have been in stores since last yr all the stores need to do is stick up a fucking sign that says "coming out on XXXXXXX" and you email out a few banners to ign gamespot etc saying same thing. Promotion done.
personally i think the longer they wait after GOLD to ship the more chance it'll leak before the store date. Its biggest pc game of all time every grp is gonna be trying hand over fist to get this game. And thatsn the last thing VU games want
i think i'ma order it off steam and just dl the iso for my hard copy
