Brilliant game. if you dont like it in the beginning, stick with it, theres a point where it twists and the story becomes brilliant.

just got this anyone else had to "update" there xbox360 when the game askis you?

only other game that asked me to do this was crackdown i did it and had no problem but a friend did it and he needed his firmware reflashing because it messed up his xbox.


EDIT: i bit the bullet and updated, everything went fine.

Bloody great game so far - just on the 1st level tho. Looks kinda similar to Riddick. Change of trousers may be required if playing in the dark with 5.1 sound pumped up !

Awesome game, absolutely loving it so far. Just about to leave Chinatown. Its really atmospheric with the graphics, lighting and sound working together really well. Attention to detail is impressive too with things like the TV stations, NPCs/scripting and head bob/wavering. Of course blowing bad guys to bits and eating the hearts for their tasty courage is cool too Very Happy This is just me nitpicking but up close the characters don't look as good and the lip sync is a bit off.

I will be playing it myself in approximately half an hour unless the burn fucks up lol. How is the gore? It looks pretty extreme from the trailers I have seen!

Edit: I swear to god I just jinxed it

Pioneer DVR-111D failed at 100%! GRRRRRR lol.

Only played single player for an hour but seems ok, Didn't listen to directions so kinda lost Very Happy .

Not liking the multiplayer much though

huh what? sonyboy? When I asked that I hadnt played the game but its rare to have a game everyone likes and no one has anything bad to say which is why I asked!

Been playing for about half an hour and I agree with everyone elses comments on here. The game rocks. Very polished, very detailed, very ambient with a super smooth framerate. Riddick never looked this good lol. Incredible use of lighting and shadow. You can shoot out all the light sources and they all break in spectacular physics driven fashion. I havent seen a game you can do that in since AVP! The rapid dual handgun reload action is very stylish and I like the way the guns the character holds move back and forth independently when in close proximity to a wall or other solid object. The intro scene was a fantastic opening to the game! Its definitely not one for the kiddies though with an abundance of gore and harsh language! I agree with the bad lip syncing with the cutscenes for the players character. I could go as far as saying its really bad to be honest! Still its an instant AAA title for me and makes great use of the Xbox360's capabilities. I expected good but I didnt expect this good!

Also best game so far to feature the most realistic in game television with multiple channels lol. Honestly I spent ages just watching what was on the tv channels haha! Then I got bored and the screen shattered in an awesome glass explosion as I popped a cap in its ass Razz

It IS stealth patched and works with ixtreme 1.2.

Upcoming PC games 2009 and onwards
Bravery is not a function of firepower.

Meh, not really that impressed so far. Have to say im not liking it yet. I'm genuinely amazed there's so many really positive comments.

So far:

- darkness powers haven't exactly been useful
- it's never really that clear where ur meant to be going
- not enough ammo
- large sections to redo when you die
- aiming seems random
- weapons are underpowered.

+ atmospheric

I'm going to stick with it though, because its getting so many good comments, maybe im just missing something and it will grow on me Smile
