Went to go to bed and ended up staying up for an extra 20-30 minutes cause of one god damn spider that didn't want to die. Thought I killed it on one side of my room, about an hour later I look on the other side of the room and there's that little fucker again, went to try and kill it again (by my bed) and it fell off the wall and disappeared. Now I'm not one to fear much, hell I could take a gun pointed to my head but fuckin christ, when it comes to spiders im such a god damn pussy. Didn't want to go to bed with the thought's the fucker would crawl on me in spite of my attacks upon it.

I'm that way too, except with all insects. 
Used to be Yondaime but forgot pass and what email I used on it. Doh. I had ~1200 posts or something, been around since NForce started or so, so i'm no new guy.

I find it funny when people say "I'm not scared by much", because they watched SAW all the way through without flinching or some shit.

its all a matter of facing your fears, its not about how much of Saw you can watch. Im not scared of spiders, but then again, i dont like the look of the big hairy ones :/ creep me out, and i used to be scared of heights until i spent some time on a tall ship climbing up 40m tall masts via the rigging.

LOL, my comment isn't actually related to SAW at all. I was just using it as an example of how most people who say they're not scared easily have hardly experienced a truly fearful situation.

I can understand someone being scared of some of the more dangerous spiders in the world. I can't imagine many people could sleep if they saw a Black Widow or Tarantula in their room.
But the vast majority of spiders are harmless, they can't even pierce human flesh. I'm not afraid of the harmless ones at all. But then again I hate flying (I still do it of course), which is fairly irrational considering the statistics.

Its not about if they are harmeless i think, i think its about that they look creepy, they way the crawl etc. They just scare the shit out of me.

@ AM I've almost been mugged by a group of village idiots (keeping racial slurrs to myself), near death car accidents, had knives pulled on me, etc, not trying to sound like a hard ass or anything.

I was never really afraid of spiders till I was watching arachnophobia when I was like 10 in the dark and when I saw something I turned a light on behind me and this huge spider was hauling ass across the back rest of the couch torwards me.
