Im having problems installing directx 9.0c...im able to start the setup, but when i hit next it just jumps to the finish screen, so i thought i had it installed...but no..im not able to play the new star wars game because it says i need to update my directx i used the game`s syscheck and it showed i had only directx 9.0b...so why wount it update? Im able to play COD united offensive, which i think also needs directx9.0c Is there any way to fix this? or maybe copy the files manually to update the directx?
I have WinXP with SP2 int.....
another problems is that when i try win update i get up SP2 as one of the updates available...this is when i have sp2 installed(v 2096)..i try to install it again through win update but i get an error and failed when im trying to download the update..
SP2 already contains DirectX 9.0C so that's why it's jumping to the end. If it was a beta version you installed, uninstall it and then install the final version.
