I've DT installed and no trouble with the game demo, patched or not, thus it may be something else mate. Try to remove/reinstall securom drivers, dunno. Have you curerom, alcohol or others apps like that? All i can do is maybe sending you the wic.exe (patched or not) executable if yours is corrupt/faulty.

MountedDevices are under:
LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM

After deleting reboot your PC.

Hope it wasn't needed for any important programs or even windows itself since I think Daemon Tools doesn't add that key but only uses it for it's virtual SCSI drives.

A little late for that now though so I guess you'll notice any eventual errors when next you start or restart the computer though it'll probably work just fine.
(Probably nothing to worry about but care should be taken when editing the registry.)

MountedDevices is for Windows, not for DT. It stores drive information there.

You probably mean Company of Heroes not Call of Duty Smile (COD Call of duty for short is an FPS).

so do you get to carry over your account/medals/stats to the final game when you preorder? I think I read that somewhere.
I'm gonna buy it ( or at least a key ) for sure with a kickass multiplayer mode like this anyway, so might as well preorder I guess.
