That release date can't be possible or the hype train would already be full steam ahead.

Just read that PS3 version is time exclusive and should be released this year while PC and 360 should be beginning 2008.

EDIT: here's the source: http://www.joystiq.com/2007/07/11/unreal-tournament-iii-timed-exclusive-for-ps3-can-share-mods-wi/

Note to self: come up with a good sig.

Do you have a link for this? Doesn't seem very feasible to me.

some info on that

LINK

I can't believe Epic would fall into Ageia's so called "physics" when it's nothing more than a performance hog piece of shit that has NO competition against havoc. Though im sure Ageia paid Epic or something similiar cause they know with a high anticipated release like this it's sure to rock the foundation on people who don't have the card and will buy one just for this game.

Reading that link..I didn't know deus ex was based off the unreal engine o.0

Epic and Ageia have a middleware deal, yes. Epic provides their SDK with their engine at no additional cost. Of course developers that license their engines are free to switch to another physics engine, such as Havok. Just stick with software rendering if you have multicore, should be more than sufficient. I don't expect Novodex (Ageia's API) to perform as bad as in GRAW running on UE3.

Crying or Very sad I believe the 3 represent the UE engine as it's the 3rd one.

They ditched the years name because it was "2006" first, then "2007", now looks like 2008, and they were ashamed of all the name changes. So "3" it is.

not needed. Ageia is nothing but propaganda and shitty physics processing. The card is usually promoted by making the game purposly run like shit (see cell factor) so people THINK they need the card to run it. All it does is enables some extra eye candy and kick your computer in the nuts for performance. BUT it being epic, it'll run just fine without the card

What the 8800s have is the ability to run compiled code for them. This code can by physics for example. Sad no one has used it. Sad

Aegia PhysX is available since over a year now, and the games slowly start supporting it now. Wait 9 more months with your 8800s and you will see game support for those physics aswell Smile
