Liked the movie in a Michael Bay kinda way ( ie 60 % of the movie in explosion-o-vision)
Didnt expect that much so wasnt really dissappointed,i cant see how it could be better
or live up to hype anyhow. And for the record Peter Cullens voice FTW,up there with
likes of Darth Vader voice. The movie wouldnt have been half as good without his voice.

To be honest, and this is my opinion:

Michael Bay is kinda cliché in his movies, a calm first half, with some brief moments of action, and a second part where all hell breaks loose.

Some action sequences are too damn fast, what's the point of making the best CGI up to date if on some scenes all we see is a blur of unidentified metals, bolts and shinny alloys?

But what pissed me off the most about this movie were the "commedy wannabe" parts of it, especially:

-The Autobots being clumsy
-The fugly, dumb-looking-and-acting secret government agent (John Turturro) who bosses everybody around him in an idiotic way, always gets screwed up, humiliated, etc
-Some bits here and there, like Shia's EbaY username, Frenzy saying "Shit" when he's hit by his own weapon yadda yadda

The film is not bad, but it could have been much better, some parts were top notch, like:

-The first action sequence on the Quatar base
-The scene when they fight Scorponok, and call in an air strike and a Spectre Gunship
-The scene when Barricade first meets Shia...."Punish and Enslave" superb detail
-When they demonstrate the power of the All-Spark

Looking forward to Transformers 2 and 3 though

I do agree on some CGI scenes being way too fast, sometimes hard to
make out whats happening in that mass of moving metal either that or my
brain cant process all this visual info Very Happy
Perhaps the humour was a bit cheesy and over the top sometimes and
the pace between first and second half was a bit off,oh well still liked it.
I love Bumblebee!! hehe

Aight, so I just watched this piece o' shit, and I seriously regret it...
Maybe I'm getting old but I just don't understand how even cgi whores could think of comparing this heap of uberjunk to the epic masterpiece that is the original animated movie.

OK the visuals are amazing. But the humor is just horrible. It is just not funny. OK there was a few good jokes and moments but thats all. It's a typical Hollywood movie.

I hope that Michael Bay will not make Transformers 2!

It's scheduled for 2009, but it's not known yet if Michael Bay will be directing

I used to watch and read Transformers and play with the toys when i was smaller so i was excited about this movie. I don't consider myself to be a hardcore fan though.

Anyways i loved the movie, i wasn't expecting them to take the comic book and just make a movie out of that because it wouldn't work. There was a few things here and there i didn't like and no it's not a perfect movie but you know what, i enjoyed the hell out of it.

People need to relax and just learn how to enjoy a movie without analyzing it to death.

God, I loved Transformers. I've never been so entertained in my life. Usually I'm wanting to get out the cinema with longer films, even if they're good. But this one, man. I've honestly never seen something so entertaining in my life. Can't wait for it to come out on blu-ray/hd-dvd!

So I finally got a chance to see this movie.
It offered a good entertainment, but the first or some 2/3 of the movide was a plain comedy.

And that little spybot. I mean, c'moon - I laughed my ass off each time it had a scene, even when it tried to hack Sam.

And for the ending - Bumblebee is some sick bastard - letting other make out on it.

Bay's best effort by far. The robot thespians are better actors than the cast of Armageddon and the plot is probably more historically accurate than Pearl Harbor.
