Fifa 2005 demo was amazing, it blew away the PES series, I also got the chance to play PES4 demo, and I must say Fifa 2005 also blows that one away, its alot more realistic, fun and alot better looking, I never thought I'd say this after being disgusted by Fifa 2000-2004+Euro 2004.

I've been playing both FIFA and PES4 on XBox this week.
FIFA is very good this year, and the guy above me is tripping, it's basically the same game as FIFA2k4/Euro2k4. The new first touch stuff is cool, but it seems like they added 'special' moves that you could already do in WE/PES through the natural play of the game. I like all the tournaments, I'd rather play ML in PES than the caraer mode, but it did look well done, and if I didn't already have Tigerwoods2k5 & Burnout 3 for XBox, and hadn't seen how shitty EA's XBox Live implementation is first hand, I'd probably at least rent FIFA2k5 to try out it's online. TW and BO3 over XBL are buggy, inconsistent and so sparse on features that it's pretty much a waste of time.
PES4 plays _ok_ on the XBox pad, I'm still getting used to it, but it seems slightly updated over WE8. It definately doesn't look as good as FIFA, but the animations are still super slick and of course it plays so well.
I'll probably buy PES4 for XBox just to play online. I've seen movies of all the features they have online, and I'm incredibly excited about it. Hopefully EA will get the online right in their 2k6 titles.

It's simple:
PES/WE for football supporters who require the closest to simulation
FIFA is for gamers. It's pick up and play and now thanks to an improved 2005 enjoyable enough to admit to liking (though far cry from latest PES and WE).

"FIFA is for gamers". Allow me have doubts about this...
All the Fifa gamers that i heard says that FIFA its better year after year, above all, since FIFA 2003.
Its evident that, since FIFA 2003, EA change the gameplay of the series aproaching to a PES style. FIFA its more accesible, Ok... But if all the FIFA players was playing FEW days a PES title against other people, the FIFA series would suffer an instantaneous death.

pes is very difficult to play on pc because you repeatedly have to keep pressing keys. it gets very frustrating because it harder to score goals and dribble pass players but that’s all because of keyboard. i've tried pes4 beta on xbox the controllers are much better. its best to get pes4 for console its going to be a hit. i'm definitely buying it for xbox live

oh it's definately skyline alright, I remember the same rhetoric from before - notably his comparison to PES with Cartoon graphics.
FIFA 2005 is exactly like FIFA 2004 - only it's GOOD. FIFA 2004 was pure shit, a complete and utter mess and 2005 is a grand improvement on that, but that is all! It's now a game that you can play, rather than something you leech, install and then delete.
But it has nothing on the gameplay side of things. PES/WE wins hands down - there is actually no point discussing this in fact.

Fifa 2005 is nothing like any other Fifa, the graphics might be similar in some versions, but the gameplay Fifa 2005 is totally redone, so you little children can flame all you want, Fifa 2005 blows away PES 3 and 4.

Well except for the whole EA crew
i tried the fifa 2005 demo and it sucked shit.
try running to the left, dashing even, and quickly passing to the opposite direction (to the right if you're uncapable of understanding)
you'll see how unrealistic the player's movement is
the ball is still pretty much stuck to your feet and the fatigue is the worst "FEATURE" EA ever thought of
who the hell gets tired after 1 sprint ?
Maybe some unfit fatass, but not Zidane or Henry

To be honest, its quite the opposite. FIFA is just a flashy, arcade button-bash game with some cute formation and strategy settings that have almost or no effect on gameplay whatsoever. Same goes for player attributes except of some different special moves.

FIFA2k5 plays exactly like 2k4 and Euro 2k4. Nothing is different except for the first touch moves and you control the off the ball guy on throw ins and corners now, instead of just corners.
This is so incredibly true, and I've beaten at least 4 tournaments in 2k5 already, it makes me think that Evolution/Skyline is just trolling and hasn't even played the game yet. Why is he so boring? Why does he keep coming here to argue about soccer games?

Funny how you must flame inorder to have a conversation, go back to the trailer you came out from, your 3 brain cells cant even handle a normal conversation, it wouldnt surprise me if you cleaned toilets at white castle.
Anyways, the bottom line here is that everyone of you is a konami fan boy, how about take out konamis dick out of your asses, and enjoy a real football game, Fifa 2005.
But I guess its like talking to a wall, you guys are just fruit cakes.

Well, I gotta say, I loved the FIFA 2005 demo compared to the previous versions of the series, there is a definate improvement. But, I can't really compare it to the PES/WE series because I haven't been able to get my hands on those games here in Canada. (Oh, and don't flame me, I'm actually from England, I just moved over here, so shut it ) Damn, I need a modded Xbox or something, then I could play them.

What's also funny is that you're flaming me aswell.
what's next ? You're gonna threaten me that you'll beat me up if you ever saw me on the streets ?
dumbshit hah
Thing is, im no konami boy, I liked FIFA games, well I liked FIFA 98, a lot.
And bought every other FIFA game untill 2004.
Then i tried WE7, and it was so much better
Oh yeah, noticed how you're the only one here that actually thinks FIFA is better ?
Im not talking about some features that FIFA are clearly better, as authencity, im talking about the general feeling.
YOU ACTUALLY THINK FIFA IS A REAL FOOTBALL GAME.
MADE BY CANADIANS ?
Next game you'll worship will be Hockey 2010 made by EA Egypt ?

The cyber tournies are EA tournies. And PES does have real kits for several leagues such as La Liga and Seria A. And the xbox version will have online play. Fifa imo is a bit more arcady but still fun but I prefer to play PES, whetever its the KING or not I dont care as I play what I like not what people think is cool.

When you play pes/we there is no actual point in playing fifa again , i wasted a dvd to find that out....
Fifa isn't even that nice looking , low res kits that look like there melting and a dodgy proportion system . its by no means perfect....

Also lets not forget the advantage of Master League
In FIFA, you have like what, 5 seasons ? woohoo.
I hate the Points feature though, its supposed to be money
And losing a game shouldnt cost you money/points :[

Well, effectively it does as you don't actually earn anything to pay your players and fund transfers.
Of course when you've ammassed a squad of say Chelseas size (I don't rate the team but they have some good individuals in depth) - there is less challenge difficulty wise and points wise. But it's not plain sailing, and it's relatively realistic in that respect.
They have higher wages, and will continue to get higher if they play well - and you have to contend with that.
Still some work to be done on the master league for sure, but it's one of those games i just lose myself in, kind of like the old days of CM.

You shouldnt loose money on loosing, you get money on tickets, ads, sales of shirts, sale of players, ect and the loss of a match should affect those and you shouldnt get a direct loss : )
