that new bat-bike thing is just gay. i kinda liked the new batmobile in the 'first' film, but its like the original artist has gone nuts on the design and used it as a running theme, and it just doesnt work in ANY way... i dread to think what the bat jet or bat boat is going to look like :/ they need a new designer.
and for the love of everything good in movie making, i hope the batman after THIS one, doesnt reintroduce robin... if they do, i hope the fans will revolt and kill nolan...

Well I agree but their also making these movies a bit more...realistic, opposed to the old ones, which I really like. I mean scare crow was a bad ass in the cartoons and what not but look at him in the movie, they did his character very well. Same with batmans character and since his as already been developed in the first movie they can focus more on the bad guys and story etc. I'm very anxious to see how they did the joker in this and even more anxious to see what other villains that plan on doing and how they develop their characters... Mr. Freeze, Two Face, The Riddler, Poison Ivy, Penguin, Cat Woman
I'm not so much worried about them bringing in a Robin as much as im worried about them destroying it with batwoman...with alicia silverstone..god that batman fucking sucked.

well i guess im opposite of you then. usually i like a bit of 'restrained realism' in movies i watch, but with batman i didnt really like it... batman is a cartoon charactter... larger than life, an over the top badass superhero... making him 'real' i found somewhat lessens him as a character... its a freakin bat for crying out loud, everything about the character screams COMIC BOOK! - thats why i guess i still prefer the burton originals to the nolan version...
thats not to say i didnt enjoy batman begins, and didnt think bale made an excellent batman, but i still think the half real/half over the top way that the originals were done was the right way to go with the character, the originals definately were the best, and no thats not elitest talk, i just think out of all the characters, batman benefits more from being less realistic... but youll get no arguments from me that the franchise in its current form was pretty much dead after those last films...

Oh no doubt, these movies will never compare. And I do agree with you. Though the later batmans really started to degrade into shit especially with Robin. But Batman 1 and Batman returns are THEE best EVER...no argument.
I do however like this new side of batman, it's a nice change and seems their making it a lot darker. I'm glad they didn't stick to the comic style of the movies cause they were seriously going downhill, and I doubt they could have been revived. It's cool how their making these villains into R/L characters and making their nicknames suit the character. Like scarecrow I would have never thought of him like that, but was cool though he didn't really play a huge scarecrow part which I was disappointed by

I wasn't teased at all though, and using voices to tease aren't all that....teasing...unless it's some hot chick talking seductivly, showing quick glimpses of action scenes then one..quick FLASH of the joker laughing or something would be a hella tease. |
