I just got a microsift wireless laser 5000 (from some closeout place, real cheap so no editorials on the actual mouse). anyways, I don't really notice that much difference between this one and my old mouse (corded optical), specifically how smooth and fast some of the aiming is in FPS games (FEAR MP I get like 50-60 fps). anyways, does a mousepad actually make a difference? I am just using the top of my keyboard drawer in my desk, it's not glossy at all either. also, I'm using the software that come with it (microsoft mouse shit). asus z170-A \|\| core i5-6600K \|\| geforce gtx 970 4gb \|\| 16gb ddr4 ram \|\| win10 \|\| 1080p led samsung 27"

Wireless mice are evil! ... never again, cordfull ftw. A mousepad can be useful if your desk is somewhat mirroring, otherwise this was more relevant for mice with a ball than for those optical, and yeah maybe try without the microsoft app if it doesn't bring any specific function. http://reviews.cnet.com/mice/microsoft-wireless-laser-mouse/4505-3148_7-31851284.html

haaha yeah, but I was in some warehouse store with all kinds of cheap shit, like a kid in the candy store.... it was only $20 so no big deal.
