|
 |
Hi, this is not a question, just a desilution with this Board. I bought the ASUS P5K DELUXE WIFI/AP last month, and after that I have several issues. At the beginning, sometimes I have a long beep when I power up my PC and can´t boot. After several tries and several clear CMOS, It can boot again. This happen maybe 3 or 4 times. Now, the mobo is dead. No power and no more beeps. I tried everything that is possible, like clear CMOS several times with no success, remove the mobo from the case and mounted in my desk, remove 1 stick of my RAM´S, remove the other Stick of my RAM´s, remove the Graphics card, remove the USB mouse, remove the Keyboard, etc,etc... And nothing happens, so I can assume the mobo is dead. Now, I have to RMA, and wait maybe 2,3 or 4 weeks for another one. Nothing to do when I get home, just sit and wait for another one.
Just to share this with you guy´s, to share my sadness.

Nope, Asus is good. It has excellent boards for the P35 chipset and so on. The board is lacking driver updates and bios updates..that is the case in your cenario critical..wait a couple of weeks and try to update your bios.

And don't forget Gigabyte that is making an amazing job at making good quality boards with excellent overclockability and excellent low prices.

They have BIOS issues and SATA problems. Apart from that i've never heard more problems with those boards. But apart from that the boards are excellent. But when they come out of the box they come with those little problems i've mentioned..

That site concerns Premium/Deluxe owners. Is that info enough for you? If not, google that problem yourself.
