Uh, what is disgusting about chopping the legs off a frog? There's no blood even. Yes, the frog is left to die slowly without legs but come on! Cows, chicken etc. - we've all seen those documentals and had those discussions already.

you are sitting outside on a patio... beside your table, like 4 meters away maybe is a chopping table, you go over and choose your frog... they put it alive on the chopping table, two hits and the legs of off while the legs and the body is still twiching, body goes into a basket that is just pulsing with movement.. legs go into a deep fryer for 15-25 seconds then on your table...

ahhh

Why is it impossible to figure out a way to capture, contain, and breed whales?

Yes, I know they're enormous, and probably pretty strong, but with modern alloys and the rest of our tech, it's a wonder this hasn't been figured out yet.

The sad thing is, right now it's probably cheaper to just kill the ones in the wild than to create some giant enclosed whale farm, which is why the wild ones may well be hunted to extinction.

Not that I'm advocating everyone to become a vegetarian, frankly I don't give a damn, I'm just curious if there are alternatives to wiping out species, something our kids will consider us savage for.

You can not farm whales. Look at all the environmental issues with farmed salmon. That is why they die in the aquariums. Plus those whales in captivity are full of antibiotics. Plus have you ever heard of a calf living into adulthood - No.

Whales are not a sustainable resource period.

Eat Sardines. They're much tastier. Plus they're sustainable. Fishing of Sardines hasn't put them under pressure at all.
