Please add some [dumb] [/dumb] tags next time. What do you think sherlock?

..he had a heart attack, based on the news."The patient, Antonio Puerta, continues to be in the intensive care unit under sedation, connected to a ventilating machine and with hemodynamic instability,"

Heart attack at 22. Sad Please spare me, going 22 soon.

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Wonder if theres anything more sinister involved other then a congenital heart defect.

i instantly thought of EPO. Heart attacks @ 22 in a pro team?

they are checked over and over... they would jabe known of a condition

and it is spain, something EPO-ish. News on epo is in the newspapers already

how could eryhropoietin cause hearth attack? It is normal hormone that your kidney produce to control your red blood cell production, it is used as doping, but I've never heard that someone died because of it...

tell that to all these guys ...

Quote:
But some athletes and trainers have found that the drug can enhance athletic performance by increasing red blood cells, and thus the body's ability to carry oxygen. Doctors and blood specialists say the drug may be implicated in the deaths of as many as 18 European professional bicycle racers in the last four years.

Only anecdotal evidence links EPO to these deaths. But the specialists say they believe the drug was a factor in at least some of the deaths.

"There is no absolute proof, but there's so much smoke that most of us are convinced," said Dr. Randy Eichner, chief of hematology at the University of Oklahoma. "You just don't get 18 deaths in 4 years, mysteriously, with 10 of them attributed to cardiac problems."

wow... that's bad! We learned that athletes go training in higher ground so their epo would increase, because of better oxygen bounding to the red blood cells, but we didn't learn that it can kill you... if abused, of course

RIP Sad

I have to say this though:
AEK, the team playing against Seville yesterday(champions league), asked for a match cancellation due to the 63 deaths in fires throughout Greece. UEFA said no, but when puerta died they finally suspended the match, just 5 hours before the kick off.

I'm not saying they shouldn't but why the hell say no to a nation's tragedy already taking place? Evil or Very Mad
