 So, sad to disappoint but if you're looking for good sims then Lock On: Modern Air Combat is very good now with patches and community-mods. However that is another one of those games where you need to read a couple of hundred pages to fly properly.
 
 If you just want some realistic fun then go for IL-2 1946. Sure it's WW2 so no jet-age dogfights but at least you get to jump straight into the fray
