You realize that you can compress mini images by right-clicking on them choosing properties, advanced... and clicking "compress contents to save disk space" and they will still work the same.

Yah I'm on hardest because I read a post about it being too easy even on that setting. It's challenging but not as hard as System Shock 2 was. There's a lot of ammo about, maybe too much but when you get toe-to-toe with a big daddy you fucking need a lot of ammo Laughing

It gets harder, trust me. You meet some proper spliced up motherfuckers later on, and on hard mode you sometimes encounter an 'elite' version of a normal enemy. Then you've got the elite big daddies...

Ammo is still fairly plentiful for the machine gun, but it's normal ammo is like pissing in the wind when a thuggish splicer with some electro modification is charging you. Upgrading your weapons is a must! But research is the key to survival on hard mode.

I noticed some glitches with the shotgun, it doesnt fire sometimes, almost like it has no bullets. But i doubt this is caused by the crack since everything else works so far.

Aye

As stated already there are a few crash issues. I came across a crash always in same place (after sub/lift ride) right at beginning of game.

Did a bit of snooping and.... Realised there is two diff versions of the DARKCODER crack on the www.icanttellyousodontask.com The main difference i found was one is password protected (rar's) the other is not. The crack with no password kept crashing. Password crack dose not.

Also for those of you with an Nvidia GPU you need to be running ForceWare Release 162 v 162.18. v9424 was causing graphical crashes for 7950GT for me personaly. (also echoed on official game forum)

So sum up = There is a working crack, paul.dll, reg fix. The graphical issues (and crashes) are not related to crack. (look on official game forum again).
Save games and load games are fine.
levels progress from one to another fine.

(unless you have the "stolen" darkcoder crack. Then you may get crashes after sub ride)

Yet again we smile Very Happy

(I also agree that Darkcoder ought to have the NFO here on NFOrce even though as we all know its not a scene rls but some recognition is in order is it not ? Lets face it when you have so called SCENE groups/members stealing a bedroom coders crack its naughty and reflects how hard this was to do. I for one do not have the skill involved to even understand the procedd let alone do it)

You can't change it until you start a game. Then esc and it's not grayed in game options. Is it now confirmed that difficulty levels work? I'm not going past easy, enough hard for me and keeps a bit less scary. Easy is the same easy as in demo, splicers die with one wrench hit in the start, normal mode needs more and guessing hard is even harder Smile

No crashes for me, trying to find telekinesis at the moment and already spent 1h 45min playing. Three times game stopped for a while for couple secs, other than that has been totally smooth. I wonder if those who played it in 13h listened to any recordings or looked around at all, don't think I've played over tenth already. Seems to be 7 big level and 15 levels in total, I'm either in 1 medical or 1 welcome, don't know.

All it sounds like they did is make a custom installer for dark coders crack.

IE

It cuts and pastes itself lol

er it does work! apparrently either A) it doesn't change the menu when you start the game, that's when I pressed the * button or b) it automatically goes into the widescreen mode without needing to press the * button. I tried an obscure FOV so I could see a significant difference and it worked
