you say it , "sometimes"
this sometimes mean 10% from all contracts |
Indeed it does, but seeing as Irrational is now called 2K Boston/Australia, I'm gonna guess they will earn money from sales.

yeah, stated that, doesn't mean whoever wrote it meant that. It's pretty obvious, are you trying to lie to me or yourself? And I only got aware of the scene only 7 years ago.

Same as Doom and all the other Dark sh!te based on that engine... When you pickup a game like Half-Life and FarCry, after an hour or 2 you say WoW, there is a game!.
Bioshock is like doom and the other sh!t I can't remember for now.
uninstalled.

So omega you telling me all the groups who were releasing back in the day are liars ? since they pretty much all had it written down in there info's... might not be in today's nfo's but its still the general purpose of trying the full product befor you buy it because you only get a fraction of what the final product is from a demo.

yeah that's pretty much what I'm saying. Maybe there putting it in there in an attempt to somehow cover themselves to a certain extent. But yeah, they in no way expect people to buy it if they like it. It's all about getting it released first.

I have to agree here. Most games I have bought, I have tried releases of them first. Demo is usually not enough to warrant a buy.
I buy my games after thoroughly I have tested them for bugs and support.

m..how many missions this game have?
till now i think i am on erea 5 and i am glad that i didn't buy the game:
the game is regular fps with few nice elements and nice graphic, but the gameplay repeated and for me its preety far from being the best fps ever (as few people here said)
half life 2 was mutch intresting and made me wants to play more and more. maybe as fun of the system shock series, this will be must have one.

i buy games that i think are worth it... games that have dedicated developers behind it that do their best to make a perfect game, not just pump crap out and say 'that'll do..'
well i do when i have the money i like to buy shit when its worth it, and i have the means.
ALL THAT BEING SAID... i fucking hate jumping through these hoops... i miss the good old days when you just installed the bastard then copied the crack across
somehow i muddled through even though that mini image did piss all... so far the games loaded atleast... more testing is required to check if it'll continue to work, but so far so good... *touch wood*

Ace170780 wrote: | the DRM doesn't affect the buyer the only one it affects is you because you can't have it for free & your pissed at there security sceme to protect there intellectual property. The original purpose of the scene is to try a software in it's full for a 24 hour period to determine if it's worth buying or not (because demo's give you limited access to a product & isn't the best way to judge if the full product is worth buying). Why do you think the groups always support buying there own software even though they cracked it. Thats the other aspect of the scene to show that what is not crackable is in fact crackable. Just admit it instead of giving some shitty excuse that the DRM is stopping you from buying this product & just say you want it for free even though its a good game. |
DRM does affect the buyer and moreso this type. When I uninstall software, I dont need it to leave tracks or any registry keys behind. I dont need that, although it isnt, my antivirus saying its a rootkit (yes, I know it is not). I dont need a software running behind my back idle. I buy the game to install the game, not crap ass software. THATS the difference.

AA doesnt work At all/well with UT3 engine.
All you people who *think* you have AA running and your FPS is good; Bad news, AA isn't enabled. AA cripples that engine and/or causes graphical anomalies.
