Working crack my ass, as I am about to go to the next level from "Welcome to Rapture" my game crashes, saying that something is wrong with the bioshock.exe file, anyone know what the problem is? I'm using the LOLCATS iso and the ScenePwned crack.

Go read around a little bit, try the 2k Forums...
The game frequently crashing, seems to be attributed to High Detail Post Processing and High Detail Shaders...
Try switching them off and playing!!

I've been playing with the crack, and i've already killed about 6 big daddies...

K. I'll try here.

I got the Lolcat iso. Installed with newest daemon tools.

Found the scenepwoned.crac (or bypass).
Moved the proper files over from the crack overwritting old ones.

ran the .reg file.

run the game and it gives me an instant error saying 'This program can not run because it is not configured properly. IUninstalling and reinstalling my fix the probelm (paraphrased)."

Uninstalled and reinstalld 2x now to 2 different directories. Same problem. Display drivers are up to date.

E6600 3.3 ghz, 2 gigs of corsair dominator ram, gforce 8800gtx grpahics card.

So, I'm the only one having this problem?

You don't have Securom installed. Try installing the demo just for that. Worked for me. It is weird because this crack uses Securom and not bypassing it.

Correct fix! Thanks guy! It worked!

Antialiasing Support: By default BioShock does not support any Antialiasing (AA) to smooth out jagged lines. The reason the game doesn't support AA natively is because it uses a form of rendering called Deferred Lighting, which is supposed to be incompatible with Antialiasing in DX9.

I choose good lighting effect over AA anytime.

If you're running an 8800 in XP you can have both. Force it in panel on the 163.44 betas.

its 2007. there is no reason we should ever have to pick between the two. no reason at all, especially given the graphics cards that are out these days.

what they should have done is move the special groovy gee-wow lighting effects to dx10, this would have removed the problem... we'd get good lighting and aa in dx9, or go to vista and get great lighting and aa... but they went with the cheap simple solution and just nuked aa altogether.

Chiv, those last few posts of yours are really ignorant. Rolling Eyes So according to you, because the UE3 doesn't support AA on your dumb hardware, the engine sucks? Laughing Quake 2 engine had support for AA, ZOMGZORZ it must be better than UE3!!11onetwothree! Only spoiled 12yo kiddies care about AA, because they can't look beyond some jaggies ("ZOMGZORGZORGZ jaggies me no can play this game, it sucks, engine bla... waaaa waaa Crying or Very sad")!

FFS with all of you AA whiners give it a rest and play the game. Jeez Luise...

I'm really having a hard time understanding where you AA haters are coming from. If you don't like / care about AA, or don't have a PC capable of using it, then why do you care that other people DO appreciate it?

If you don't like AA that's fine, to each their own. The fact is though that AA is a standard feature in games/engines, and does make a big difference in image quality. There is no denying that BioShock looks good even without AA, but it would look great with it.

Whether or not you care about AA doesn't change the fact that it is a standard feature that should have been included in this game / engine.

As far as giving it a rest and playing the game goes, I bought the CE and finished it already and I would have enjoyed it more with anti-aliasing.

Dude, I don't hate AA (and trust me, my 8800 is handling the AA in this game greatly), but ffs, so many people are saying "not playing/buying it because it doesn't support AA" or shit like "the engine sucks because it doesn't have AA." Like I said, dumb 12y/o spoiled kiddies who can't enjoy a game for what it is. Rolling Eyes

Can someone please confirm if the LOLCATS release includes the original, untouched bioshock.exe so you can apply future updates?

Thanks!
